Article: "White House Cheat Sheet: Sifting Through the Specter Damage"

The Link: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/cheat-sheet/050709white-house-cheat-sheet.html

I'm only going to quote this small bit: "While most party switchers are almost certainly guided by personal political concerns (what politician isn't?), most don't come right out and say it because it is a turnoff for voters who want to believe that their politicians believe in, well, something."

The writer means, I think, other than themselves. We've seen where "Benedict Arnold" Specter's priorities lay - in keeping his fat arse in Wa$hington, the Di$trict of Corruption. Whatever happened to going to Wa$hington to ... oh ... serve the people that put you there? Call me naive if you must ... and that that doesn't happen except in only a perfect world.

Tell me that, and I'll tell you that you are part of the problem for accepting the situation the way it is. The pols won't change as long as they know you'll sit on your butts and say "well, that's just the way it is."
