An Open Letter to Speaker Boehner

Mr Speaker;

This letter to you is about the future of our Republic. There are various sources that state that you and/or others (at your behest) removed certain Conservative members from various committees. That scares the hell out of me, and you Mr Speaker, scare the hell out of me.

I want serious answers to the following questions, and a form letter won’t do it. But, even a lack of reply (and any reply you might make) will be posted on my blog which is located at http://gregb1967.blogspot.com

1) Every time “revenues (ie; taxes)” have increased, new programs have been created.

a. If you answer “no” or “unsure” then I know you’re a liar. History is your guide to this.

2) The “lockbox” of Social Security has been raided repeatedly, its monies used for other things.

a. If you answer “no” or “unsure” then I know you’re a liar. Again, history is your guide.

3) The long-term actuarial deficits for both Social Security and Medicare increased substantially in 2012 (*1), although for different reasons. Both of them can be tied, at least indirectly to Obama’s policies. Simply check the link for the facts.

4) 47% of Americans pay no Federal Income Tax. That leaves 53% to pick up the tab.(*2)

a. The vast majority of these people are either elderly or are paying payroll tax (28.3%.)

b. Federal Income Tax is just part of the picture. To get the complete picture, you need to factor in State and Local taxes (including sales taxes, ballot taxes, etc.) These taxes tend to be regressive and actually hit lower-income groups hardest. When these taxes are factored in, some people are now paying over 50% of their income in taxes. (*3)

Mr Speaker, those are the facts. Another fact is that the deficit increased more under Obama in not quite four years than it did in the eight years under Bush. If you remember, Obama slammed Bush, calling it “unpatriotic.”

Deficit spending does not work. We must get the deficit down and entitlements must be included in any discussions.

Mr Speaker; I’m going to be blunt. Conservatives were elected in 2010 to provide a real alternative to Mr Obama’s policies, which many people say are socialist. And Mr Speaker, it is neither RAAAAAACIST or hateful to say so … and frankly I’m damned tired of hearing that old, tired rhetoric.

You and others in the GOP must do more to reach out to the low-information voters(*4) who tend to vote Democratic and who mostly get their information from MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NPR, and the NYT. This means that you and others must go on their “shows” and tell the facts … and dispute their lies. You and others in the GOP must do more to dispute the Democrats and medias’ lies.

Frankly, Mr Speaker, your recent actions have led me to consider asking for your removal as Speaker … something that is not binding, but should be quite telling.

A final word about gun control. Those two firefighters killed in the recent Rochester, NY ambush were killed by an ex-felon(*4), somebody who had no legal right to possess any firearm. More gun control is not the answer, Mr Speaker. Guns do not kill people … people do (*5). If I wanted a person dead, I could pick up a metal fork and use it. I could pick up a paper clip and use that as well (if you think I’m joking, think again.) People kill people, Mr Speaker. You and others in the GOP need to slam these Democrats and their tools in the media for using firearms as scapegoats.

Aren't You Sick?

Aren’t you sick?

Aren’t you sick and tired of those on the liberal left who can’t debate the facts, but they can:
1)      Slander.  “They’re all RAAAAACIST!”  Don’t like Mr Obama’s policies?  “RAAAAAACIST!”
2)      Demagogue.  Apparently, our hearts are “full of hate.”
3)      Call names & belittle.  “R U insane?  Methinks so.”
4)      Pull out the “emotional” card.  “Don’t you care?!?”  Or, “But what about me?”
I’ll be the first to admit that there are also those on the right who cannot or will not listen to other viewpoints.  We’re “wrong” if we disagree with them.  Point out the facts and you’re “looking for trouble.”  It is these people … on both sides of the aisle ... that are part of the problem.
If you wish to debate me, that’s great!  I welcome debate.  Notice please that I said “debate.”  The instant either one of us picks up any of those cards, we’ll have shown ourselves to be part of the problem.  And if you’ve read this blog for any length of time, you’ll know that I pride myself on being part of the solution.
It’s actually quite sad in that in only fifty short years we’ve gone from “Ask not what your Country can do for you; ask what you can do for your Country,” to ObamaPhone Woman.  And it’s not just her.  Several investigative reports by several local affiliates suggests that 10% (1 out of every 10) of people with these “free” phones have not just one such device.  And not just two … but three such devices.  One woman had six … in her purse. (*4)  The FCC found that as of the production of the article, it was 250,000 people who had more than one such phone.
Guess who’s paying for those “free” phones?  You ask those that have them and you’ll be told “the government” is paying for them or that Obama is.  But where do they get the money? (*4)  Take a look at your cell bill and you’ll find the “Universal Service Fund,” and/or the “Universal Access Fee.”  That’s right … you are.
A quick note here;  these monies were originally levied by President Clinton.  The idea was that the funds were to be used for landlines and for 911 systems.  President Bush (the younger … Shrub) expanded the program to cell phones and the amount of people receiving them increased.  But it has exploded under Obama.  Feel free to look it up … Google really is your friend.  (At least for this … please don’t get me started about some of their very public snafus.)
These, of course, are the same people who can’t be bothered to read any opposing viewpoint.  Try to tell them that the Federal government is considering taking all monies out of individual 401(k) and replacing them with annuities … and they’ll say that’s not true.  Tell them it is true and point them to the articles about it, and they don’t want to see it.  (*1)
Forgive me for being dense, but part of being informed means being willing to listen to both sides of the debate.  And this is where the utter hypocrisy of the left reeks.  Try to point out the numerous things we’ve said about the healthcare law and … boy, do they have lots to say about that!
Most of them are wrong, but they still have lots to say about it!  Remember when Ms Palin was excoriated for saying that there would be “death panels?”  Well … there’s a New York Times Op-Ed that says we need such panels! (*2)
Remember when some were saying that such panels could be coming for infants?  Well … (*3)  Those are the facts.  Care to dispute them?
I was part of the problem … and I freely admit it. (*5)   I’m not proud that I was once part of the problem.  But I have since worked to become part of the solution.

An Open Letter:

AN OPEN LETTER: To the Slackless Service (keep your Anthony Weiners inside and your hormones in park,) the Department of Hussein’s Sycophants (gotta love the job Ms Clownitano’s done. She couldn’t find her way out of an open outhouse,) and the Department of (Social) Justice (Black Panthers intimidating voters? NO PROBLEM!!) : As for the FBI? The Federal Bureau of Investigation. I have nothing but praise to sing for them. If they’d been allowed on the ground in Benghazi immediately after the attack; they’d have already gotten the people that murdered our Ambassador. Which is why Dear Leader kept ‘em out for so long. Perhaps you’re aware of the death threats made against Mr Romney if Dear Leader is voted out. Tell me, do you people care? Are you investigating? Or are you going to regurgitate the same tired bullshit that only Conservatives make threats? And that we’re “potential domestic extremists? Nothing to say? Do any of you sad people (excepting the FBI again, we KNOW they do) have any honour left? Anybody? I know I’m talking to the wind here, but please get off your sorry asses and start looking into the threats made against Mr Romney. In other words, DO YOUR JOBS. Here’s a website you might be interested in: http://www.infowars.com/threats-to-assassinate-romney-explode-after-debate/ -and- http://twitchy.com/2012/10/17/post-presidential-debate-obama-supporters-renew-vows-to-murder-mitt-romney/?utm_source=autotweet&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=twitter “Twitchy will continue to chronicle these vicious, violent assassination threats. In the meantime, we sincerely hope that the Secret Service will take swift action. “ “As Infowars has stressed, we are non-partisan and have encouraged people to vote for neither candidate. However, the hypocrisy of leftists in trying to either downplay or deny this issue altogether is jaw-dropping given how they routinely try to portray conservatives as violent and extremist by pointing to angry comments made online. “ Of course, with Dear Leader in office, Ms Clownitano, and the man who LIED about F&F, you’ll investigate me first. I’ll make it easy. I’m the Greg Birosh that lives in OHIO. The last four of my SSN is xxxx, and I was born on xx-ABC-xxxx. There: So easy even Dear Leader could do it … and without his TelePrompTer. YOU ARE ALL MADE AWARE THAT ANY AGENTS, OFFICER(S) YOU SEND HERE WILL BE SEARCHED AND ANY NON-DECLARED WEAPONS CONFISCATED. They will be returned after the interview, or after they are ordered to leave.

Those sad, pathetic Obowma Voters

Those sad, pathetic Obama voters.
I’m not going to link to the YouTube video about that sad, pathetic Obama voter in Ohio.  You know the one; the woman with the IQ that’s probably half her shoe size.  She knows the phone is coming from Obowma, but as to where he got it?  That sad, pathetic woman has no clue.
She’s just your typical Obowma voter.
But what makes it worse are people who do have brains but will still vote for Obowma.  You know those people: the ones who simply can’t hear anything bad about him.
You try to tell them what he believes or has misspoke.  You know; he’d said he’d been in 57 states.  Not according to the Obowma voters.  They don’t want to hear it.
But dear God Almighty, if it had been a Republican who’d said that, they’d laugh.  Instead it was Obowma, so ‘what the hell.’
I’m so mad right now that I’m actually sad.  That sad, pathetic woman.  She probably doesn’t know.

"WE need death panels." : NYT OpEd.

Death panels – not just a conspiracy theory.  REAL.
The very first line?  “WE need death panels.”  Then it softens it and calls it, correctly, rationing.  It also goes on to state that socialized health care systems have rationing.
During the debate on ObamaCare, those of us who said that this would happen were called nearly every name in the book.  And, to be sure, new words were created.
But it turns out that we were right.
Death panels – rationing – is coming.  Just like we told you.

The Globalist's Plan: Agenda 21

For those of you who doubt that it exists, read it here:

http://www.un.org/esa/dsd/agenda21/

(NOTE to libs, this is the UN's site.)

Another link:
http://www.wildlandsprojectrevealed.org/index.html

Do you still think it doesn't exist?  Do you still think it's a conspiracy theory?

From the UN's own documents:
" Land… cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. The provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interest of society as a whole. "

Sent to Harry Reid (D-Nevada)

TO:  Brown, Sherrod Campbell (9-NOV-1952 – Present)
TO:  Portman, Robert Jones (19-DEC-1955 – Present)
Subject:
Senatorial Courtesy for Mr. Reid, Harry Mason (2-DEC-1939 – Present).  Sens Brown and Portman, I do hereby officially request that you make Mr. Reid, Harry Mason aware of this correspondence and give him the chance to reply.
Mr Reid, I am writing to you today to make you aware of something you would rather not hear.  I have written Senators Brown and Portman (OH) to have them contact you about this, since you do not accept emails from non-Nevadans.
You have recently tripled-down on your statement that Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has not paid taxes in the past decade.
Mr Reid, I do understand that you’re a politician.  But you used to be human.  And you once had a strong code of personal honour.  Is it still there?  We will shortly find out.
                Mr Reid, based on the code of personal honour that you once had, I order you to either;
1)       PROVE your allegations that Mr Romney, Willard Mitt (12-MAR-1947 – Present (so you cannot state that you know “several” Mr Mitt Romneys.)) has not paid taxes in 10 years.  IRON-CLAD Proof, Mr Reid. –or-
2)      RETRACT your statements on the floor of the Senate, where you publicly made your baseless and groundless accusations. –AND- apologize to the aforementioned Mitt Romney (in private if you wish.  You won’t even have to mean it.  But face must be saved.
3)      RESIGN from your position and from politics effective immediately. –or-
4)      Commit seppuku. (Japanese ritual suicide.)
You have 21 days.
You have besmirched the aforementioned Mr Romney’s honour and seem to believe that it carries no consequences.  You are about to learn otherwise.
FAILING THESE FOUR CHOICES, the National Couro Prido will declare you an ‘honourless bastard’ and will in fact spit upon you after shouting out those words.
Do you still have honour, Mr Reid?  Or was that yet another lie?
You see, Mr Reid, I have a code of honour.  And I live by it.  BUT, you are a democrat, so I’m quite sure that you or someone from your party will ‘accidently’ pull my credit report and work history.  I’ll make it easy for you.  The last four of my SSN is ****.  There, so easy even you can do it.
Senators Portman and Brown, I greatly appreciate your passing this on to Mr Reid.  Failing to do so would result in my being disappointed in both of you.  Please, let us not go down that path.
Birosh, Greg (redacted) (xx-ABC-1234 – Present.)  There, so easy that the DHS under Ms Clownitano and Mr Holder can do it.

DRUDGE: "WEINER PULLS OUT"

The link: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57474672-503544/anthony-weiner-not-running-for-office-for-now/

Double-entendre headline.  Love it!  But something in the article caught me:

" Abedin, who was pregnant with the couple's first child at the time the scandal unfolded, said that "it took a lot of work" but that these days, "We're a normal family."
"Anthony has spent every day since then trying to be the best dad and husband he can be," she said. "I'm proud to be married to him." "

I'm sure she had to say that to save face ... whether she meant it or not.  And while I can't state for certain that she has, I'll wager that she's thought about it more than once.

Arpaio: "It's A Fake!"

The link(s) : http://www.wnd.com/2012/07/arpaio-obama-probe-finds-national-security-threat/

- and - http://news.yahoo.com/arpaio-obama-birth-record-definitely-fraudulent-010211250.html?_esi=1

" Arpaio: Obama birth record 'definitely fraudulent' " (emphasis, bold, and colour added.)

Now to my sister, this is "RAAAAAAACIST."  But I would remind her that there is currently a $50,000 'prize' to anybody who can provide absolute proof that Obama was definitely born in the US.  The "long form" birth certificate was just shown, according to Sheriff Arpaio's Cold Case Posse, to be "definitely fraudulent."

And I've always loved that line since I saw in in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.  It was when the Romulan Senator Vreenak held up that data rod in his right hand.  "It's a Fake!"  I've always wanted to use that line. :)

But it's too bad that it had to be used here.

So, to my sister and all the liberals who are shouting "no," I have a very simple question.  PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:  It is just barely possible that Sheriff Arpaio is right and that Mr Obama is not a natural-born Citizen?  Is it just barely possible?

Be very careful with your answer, and consider carefully the evidence.  You and I both know that had there been this many questions and this much evidence about a Republican Presidential hopeful, the mainstream media would be all over it (and RIGHTLY SO!) and demanding answers.

Now how about it?

Sheriff Joe Arpaio To Hold News Conference.17-JUL

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the "America's toughest sheriff," will be holding a news conference on 17-JUL-2012 at 14:30hrs (2:30pm) MOUNTAIN TIME (16:30hrs or 4:30pm Eastern.)

The Sheriff will be discussing information his cold-case posse gathered.

I wonder if it's going to discuss the CT person's Social Security Number that Obama's supposedly been using.

MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN of course, all can't wait to miss it.

Marrieds Can't Live Together at Games, but Gays Can.

That's the 'shock' claim.

The link:  http://washington.cbslocal.com/2012/07/16/married-olympians-we-cant-live-together-during-games-but-gay-couples-can/

Ah...you gotta love Political Correctness!!

ARTICLE: "RE-ERECTION CAMPAIGN"

!!!  Yes, you read that correctly.  I'll be honest in that I had to read it three times.  The first time, I'd thought "That can't be right."

(second read)  "They didn't."

(THIRD read)  I was laughing too hard to breathe.

The link:  http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/re_erection_campaign_Gppuedd8V87J5NCUQGHRoO

And the double-entrentres start in the very first sentence:  " Anthony Weiner’s not shrinking from elected office. "

Then we learn that he's "desperate" (albeit to get back into politics.)

And not to outdo themselves, the Post described Mr Weiner's "dipping."  As in "dipping his toe back into political waters."

And then there's "launch."

I wouldn't have minded seeing the word "slid" in there, and I'm pretty sure the author was considering some way to ... 'work it in.'

TSA (again)

Say, have you been accused of sexually abusing young girls?  If so, then you too can have a screening job with the TSA!  A former Catholic Priest, Thomas Harkins, was removed from his ministerial post after his Diocese found that he had sexually abused two young girls.  In March of this year, 2012, an additional claimant came forward via a lawsuit alleging that he had abused her as well.  Her age at the time of the alleged abuse?  11.
To be fair, the TSA, when contacted by the reporter of the story, stated that the former priest’s title was “Transportation Security Manager, Baggage,” which means that he usually deals with luggage and not passengers.
But think of it this way:  would you want this man, given his past, to touch your wife’s or your girls’ panties?  Even if he is wearing those blue gloves (which they don’t change after every screening, by the way, something the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) state they should!)
I wouldn’t want him touching my belongings and I’d absolutely refuse to have him screen me.
Those are the facts of the story, according to the article(*1).
But now, based on the facts, I’m going to ask a few questions.
Because of the Dateline’s landmark series ‘To Catch a Predator,’ we know that people from seemingly all walks of life were caught soliciting sex with an under-age girl.  They caught:
A Rabbi,
A Police Officer,
An Assistant District Attorney,
A DHS Special Agent,
A teacher,
A musician,
And somebody who worked at Nickelodeon, among others.
They even caught a registered sex offender!  They also caught somebody who had been caught earlier by Perverted Justice, the group that they had hired as consultants.
But the question:  is this former priest trolling online?

Higgs Boson Found?

(NOTE:  Edited at 5:57pm on 9-JUL-2012 to correct the gluon as the force-carrying particle of the strong nuclear force (aka the colour force) )

Higgs Boson Found?
It was on the Drudge Report a while back … but there hasn’t been that much follow-up about it in the main-stream news media.  This, however, is where I need to be careful.  Most readers know that I’m interested in physics (as well as politics,) so I tend to watch announcements like this.
The discovery of the Higgs, if true, is a huge step forward.  It tends to confirm one of the great theories of our time, the Standard Model of Particles and Forces(*1).  It also tends to confirm quantum theory(*2), and provides a building block of sorts for further theories, such as super-symmetry(*3) and string-field theory(*4).
The particle, in fact, turns out to be crucial to the Standard Model, as it explains why other elementary particles (with the notable exceptions of the photon (electro-magnetism) and the gluon (strong nuclear force aka the colour force)) have mass.  Specifically, it explains why the photon has no mass while the W and Z bosons are very heavy.
And while they’ve announced the discovery of a particle with Higgs-like properties (the certainty that it is Higgs-like is 99.999%) there still remains that tiny bit of question.  More research is needed to see if it is an actual Higgs, or whether or not it’s just a particle with Higgs-like properties.
And that brings up a question which I’ll be addressing in another post.  The Higgs has been called the “God Particle.”  But what does that do about the existence of God?

"Mr. President, we have power." - Star Trek IV

Power.  Electricity.  Such simple words.  But a few days without power and you quickly realize what people who are in hurricane country go through.

Power went off here at about 6pm on Friday 29-JUN.  It FINALLY came back on.  I heard the fridge motor click on and then my alarm clock started blinking "12:00" at me. :)  I thought it was one of the prettiest sights I'd ever seen.  (Call me strange.)

But power is back and I have quite a few people to thank.

First, the folks at AEP.  I've called them "American Electric Pinheads" before, but they worked tirelessly around the clock to restore power.  Thanks. :)

Next, power would be useless to me without the internet, so a thank you to the fine folks at Time Warner Cable.  Cable actually came back before the power did, thanks to TWC's portable generators (and I actually spoke with a TWC employee as she was getting the generator set up.  I didn't catch her name, but she was quite cute. :) )  But without power it was useless to me. :)  My laptop battery was down to 7% and it was throwing up warning after warning about needing to plug it in or shut it off.

UNFORTUNATELY, I'd made one of my favourite meals on Friday and put the rest in a container in the fridge.  It was no good (bummer) and had to be tossed ... along with quite a few frozen dinners that are also ruined.  But all in all it's a small price to pay for having power back.

In case you were wondering, the thermometer in my room reached a high of 89 degrees.  That's just a bit too warm for me. :)  And I'm pretty sure my laptop wasn't too happy about it either.  That little fan on the CPU was sure busy, though. :)

OH, and that line about having power?  I've always wanted to use it. :)

Seen on Michelle Malkin's Site

erm....  I don't know what to say.  This is a screenshot I just took as I went to Michelle Malkin's site.

As an aside, Ms Malkin and her family continue to be in my prayers, and a thank you to Mr Doug Powers who continues to post there during this trying period.

Maxine Waters wants to debate? Really?

The link:  http://blogs.denverpost.com/thespot/2012/06/23/maxine-waters-tea-party-bring/74676/

" She was cheered when she said, “After a good night sleep, I wake up the next day, and I say, ‘Come on, Tea Party, let’s get it on.’” " (Link is Denver Post's and is left intact.) "

Well, Ms Waters, be careful what you ask for.  I'd debate you in a New York second ... but there must be some ground rules:

1) NO NAME-CALLING.
2) You will not pick up the "RAAAAACIST" card
3) You will not pick up the "Sexist" card
4) You will not pick up the "Stupid" card
5) You will not pick up the Demagogue card.

6) Each of us will leave the "talking points" at home.

If you can manage to do that, I'll debate you.  But the instant you pick up just one of those cards (and if you fit the typical liberal profile, it'll be a few seconds in) you'll have proven yourself to be part of the problem.

Here's what I have to say to you:  "You could not seriously debate somebody without reaching for at least two of those cards.  It would be impossible."

Now how about it?

Emily Mortimer - Tea Party is "lunatic fringe."

Emily Mortimer – Tea Party is “lunatic fringe.”
“I can remember when Bush got in for the second time, just feeling like so much of the problem about the way that politics go here is that people are improperly informed. That they didn’t know that they had been lied to, or they didn’t understand exactly to what extent they had been, and they still thought that there were weapons of mass destruction. “
She must’ve gotten her talking points from Michael Moore – that mis-guided film-maker who, confronted with the facts that Mr Bush had been mis-informed about the WMDs (all intelligence up to that point said there were WMDs in Iraq) out and out called him a liar – well.  Delusional?
“I’m going to sue your sorry ass Mr Birosh!”
“No doubt for definition of character.”
Not to out-do herself, Ms Mortimer wasn’t done yet!  “You can’t rely on getting the facts, or getting them presented in a way that is actually objective and makes sense and puts people in a position where they can make informed decisions about who to vote for. It’s just over-sensationalized and, as our show keeps pointing out, one of the big problems is that they act like there’s just two definite sides to every discussion — and that’s just not necessarily the case, but it feeds into the way this country has just become completely polarized. This Tea Party is presented on the television as the viable alternative instead of like a lunatic fringe. “
Well, Ms Mortimer, let’s examine this.  MSNBC doctored the Trayvon Martin 911 tape to make Mr Zimmerman appear racist.(*)  In the edited tape, they had Mr Zimmerman appear to state without being asked that Mr Martin was black.  After the backlash, they had to admit that the tape was “edited for time” … and state that Mr Zimmerman answered a police dispatcher question.  So … are you still going to say that the media is objective?  Really?  They “edited” the tape due to “time constraints” and edited out 5 seconds of him answering a dispatcher’s question.  Yeah, that’s really objective Ms Mortimer.
How about Mr Romney’s “Wa-Wa” tape?  Again, edited by MSNBC “due to time constraints” the edited version and the unedited version are very very different. (*2)  (Note here that I’ve selected two liberal outlets to make my point for me.)
No doubt it was “fake but accurate.”  Rathergate, anybody?
But what gets me is where Ms Mortimer says “…one of the big problems is that they act like there’s just two definite sides to every discussion – and that’s just not necessarily the case…”
Really?  It wasn’t until “just a blogger” pointed out that the Trayvon Martin tape and the Mitt Romney tapes were edited that the story changed.  Ms Mortimer, are you absolutely certain that the news media is telling the entire story without distortion or concealment?  Really?
Here’s the entire tape of Mr Romney’s remarks.(*3)
And then the “lunatic” part.  I thought we weren’t supposed to be calling names Ms Mortimer.  Or is it just that you’ve fallen into the liberal “holier-than-thou” dung?  If you’re going to apply those rules to me you can be damn sure I will apply them to you.  Otherwise, it’s hypocrisy(*4), isn’t it?
But what, pray tell, was the word I used to describe another liberal’s thinking?
Remember Janeane Garofalo on MSNBC speaking about the Tea Party Movement? She herself said it. “Let's be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea Party was about. They don't know their history at all. It's about hating a black man in the White House. That is racism straight up. This is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks.[21] “ (Links are Wikipedia’s and are left intact.)

So, according to her, I don’t know my history, and the reason I dislike Mr Obama is because he’s black. Well, it’s so very nice to know that Ms Garofalo knows what’s in my mind and my heart. She can conceive of no other possible answer. It’s not because I dislike Mr Obama’s policies, again according to her. It’s not because he’s surrounded himself with socialists and Marxists (a la Van Jones, a self-confessed Communist) it simply must be, again according to her, because he’s black.

There is a word for that. But first, the definition from dictionary.com: “a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact: a paranoid delusion”
“Yes, the word is delusional. Note that I’m not calling her a name, I’m describing her reasoning. Yes, the first part certainly fits, doesn’t it? The race card has been debunked how many times now? Yet they still reach for it. Believe it or not, but they’re part of the problem too. “
I would invite you to debate me, if I weren’t already convinced it would be an exercise in futility.  You would, in very short order, reach for one of the liberal’s favourite playing cards.
Perhaps I’m not the only one to blame?  Now how about it?

Dr James Lovelock, godfather of global warming, tells the truth.

Erm…
One word … wow.  If I were wearing a hat, I’d take it off and doff it to him.  Come to think of it, and based on what he said, I think I might put my baseball cap on and then doff it to him.  Wow.
“ Two months ago, James Lovelock, the godfather of global warming, gave a startling interview to msnbc.com in which he acknowledged he had been unduly “alarmist” about climate change. “
All I can say is “wow.”  Unlike many in the ‘global warming is entirely man-made’ movement, Dr Lovelock doesn’t have a political science degree.  Dr Lovelock’s degree is in something directly related to the matter in question, and many of his inventions are used by NASA, among others.
In the article, Dr Lovelock states that we really don’t know what the climate is doing.  As I wrote on 22-MAY-2008, “The simple truth is that since our climate models break down, we don't know exactly what's going to happen in the future.
Our climate models tend to break down in rather spectacular fashion when we get to the upper atmosphere, since we frankly don’t know what goes on up there.
But then Dr Lovelock goes “off the reservation” and says this:  ““It just so happens that the green religion is now taking over from the Christian religion,” Lovelock observed. “I don’t think people have noticed that, but it’s got all the sort of terms that religions use … The greens use guilt. That just shows how religious greens are. You can’t win people round by saying they are guilty for putting (carbon dioxide) in the air.” “
Again, all I can say is “wow.”   As I wrote on 30-OCT-2008; “I'll be the first to admit right now that any theory arrived at logically and scientifically possesses its own validity, however, there are a number of people who are now viewing global warming as a de facto religion. It most certainly is nothing of the sort. Global Warming is a theory ... at best. It predicts wild swings of temperature. Some years it will be colder and in others it will be hotter. The overall trend, however, will be warming. To be frank, it is a theory that also has a great deal of contradictory evidence. Some of this evidence in fact refutes global warming entirely. “
I have to applaud Dr Lovelock for saying these things.  In my opinion, he’s reinforced his status as a serious scientist.  But I must also be honest and say that I now fear for his reputation.
There are many in the “green” movement that say that us skeptics need to be treated for having a mental disorder and that our homes should be burnt to the ground.  How wonderful.  Unfortunately, there are those that will note that since Dr Lovelock is saying these things, his house should also be torched.  But then, typical liberal bullsh*t.  “I’m correct and you’re wrong.”
I at least admit that I could be wrong.
Now how about it, libs?

Paid to Protest? Paid to Heckle? Apparently.

Paid to Protest?  Paid to Heckle?  Apparently.
“ DeWitt, Mich. — The protesters popping up at Mitt Romney's rallies throughout Michigan Tuesday look like run-of-the-mill grassroots liberals — they wave signs about "the 99 percent," they chant about the Republican's greed, and they describe themselves as a loosely organized coalition of "concerned citizens."
“ They're also getting paid, two of the protesters and an Obama campaign official told BuzzFeed. “
Yes, those Democrats who consistently accused the Tea Party Protests as being “astroturfed” are very oddly mute right now.
To be fair, the Obama campaign has quickly distanced itself from this event.  But in my opinion, they need to denounce it.  Here we have a clear example of astroturfing … yet another example of hypocrisy … as if we needed it.  These are the same people who remained silent when “Ellie Light” was running around and praising Obama.
We don’t need astroturfing … on either side of the aisle.

Obama Plays Golf for 100th Time, but Isn't "Out of Touch?"

The link:  http://dailycaller.com/2012/06/13/flashback-axelrod-called-bush-%E2%80%98out-of-touch%E2%80%99-for-playing-golf-in-bad-economy/

" Video from 1994 has surfaced of David Axelrod, President Obama’s chief campaign strategist, calling former President George H.W. Bush “out of touch” for “tastelessly” playing golf while trying to convince voters that the economy is improving.
“Bush tastelessly did it, often from the ninth hole, and from the cigar boat and other places,” Axelrod said.

" Added the adviser: “The impression you got was that he was out of touch.” "

But Obama apparently isn't?  Obama's played more golf in not yet 4 years than Shrub played in his entire 8.

Yet another 'do as I say, not as I do.'  Tell me libs, how many more examples of hypocrisy is it going to take before you get your heads out of Obama's a$$?

The Constitution exists for a reason.  Our Founding Fathers wrote it the way they did (checks & balances, three separate but equal branches of government) for a reason, so that no one person (or branch of government) could usurp power over the others.

Apparently, Obama bin Largess has decided that the Constitution doesn't apply to him.  Apparently, he doesn't give a damn about what the Constitution says and apparently, he's going to decide what laws to enforce and which ones to throw out.  But that is not what the Constitution says!  As President, Mr Largess took an oath to 'preserve, protect, and defend' the Constitution.  He didn't take an oath to 'enforce only those laws that I agree with or those that will get me votes.'

If Obama bin Largess had any sense of honour, he would immediately resign the office of President (and take that perjurer Eric Holder with him) OR commit seppuku.

Of course, Mr Obama doesn't have any honour.  And that's sad.

More Slackless Service Follies

The link:  http://www.nypost.com/p/news/international/years_of_secret_disservice_JgCJ8gbz9V0Wp1D00aAuUL

We've heard about the April prostitution scandal, which was described as (yet another) isolated incident.  Buuuuuut...

" However, the [229-page] log, which the Service Service released yesterday after news organizations requested it under the Freedom of Information Act, shows a pattern of misdeeds dating back to 2003. "

I feel so much safer, don't you?

An Inconvenient Truth (with apologies to the Goracle)

An Inconvenient Truth (with apologies to the Goracle)
Until the death of Edward Moore “Ted” Kennedy on 25-AUG-2009 (may he rest in peace) the Democrats had a filibuster-proof super-majority.  They had both houses of Congress, the House and the Senate.  They had the Executive branch as well (ie; the President who has campaigned, played golf, took vacations, played more golf, took more vacations, squandered our money on ‘green energy’ fiascos such as Solyndra(*) (and, as it turns out 11 others!!!) (oh, and Standard and Poors gave Beacon Power (another green energy company) a CCC+ rating, which is a bad junk bond that has a 70% chance of failure.))
But the point is that during the time that the Democrats had a filibuster-proof super-majority they could have pushed this amnesty through with no Republican ‘obstruction.’  They had the votes to push through anything they wanted and the Republicans couldn’t have stopped them.
So why wait till now if it was so important that it couldn’t wait?
VOTES.  President Obama knows that this election is going to be very very difficult.  He can’t run on his record, so he needs to buy every vote he can … just like he bought ObamaCare(*2).  You only have to look at the Louisiana Purchase, the Cornhusker Kickback, and Handout Montana.  Take your ObamaGlasses off and you’ll see much better.

Rush Limbaugh called it "Catch, Release, Vote."  And it's what it is.

Article: "President Obama's top 10 Constitutional Violations"

The link:  http://dailycaller.com/2011/12/04/president-obamas-top-10-constitutional-violations/

A quick caveat:  This was written in 2011 and does not include Mr Obama's recent amnesty announcement.

Obama Violates Constitution: Does End-Run Around Congress

Yes, have you forgotten Mr Bush (the Elder) and Mr Bush (Shrub) getting heckled?!?  Just how damned delusional are you people?  Here’s the ‘heckling’:
Didn’t Obama say just last year that he didn’t have the authority to do what he just did?!?
This was done for political purposes, make no mistake about it.  He needs those votes, and he doesn't give a damn about anything else.
This isn’t about not caring, it’s about the law.  It’s about the three separate but equal branches of government.
The President, no matter which colour, MSNBC, does not have the legal right under the Constitution to do what Mr Obama just did.
Mr Obama knows what the Constitution says; he just doesn’t give a damn.

I Will NOT Submit to ObamaCare

I will not submit to ObamaCare.
My name is Greg Birosh (no kidding, huh?) As of the time of this writing, I’m 45 years of age and am of sound mind and body.
And I will not submit to ObamaCare.  I will not help to fund the murder of unborn children.  I will not help fund murdering children who survived the abortion attempt.
I will not help fund contraceptives for people who can easily obtain them elsewhere.  I will not obtain the government insurance.
And, I will not pay the fine.

The Gateway Pundit: "Support Democrat Ernestina Cruz. Or get a concussion. Your choice."

(and)
Please note, the is an opinion article.  The second is a Conservative blog.  Still, it goes to the crux of another problem.
In the article, we learn that a judge candidate was holding an event across the street from the Cunnyngham household.
Apparently, somebody in her campaign put campaign signs on Mr Cunnyngham’s yard.  When he and his family returned home, he removed these signs from his property.  (To be clear, the article also says that these signs were in front of this property.  So it could be either.)
Here’s Ms Cruz’s statement, according to the article:
“ With regard to the violence reportedly perpetrated on Mr. Cunnyngham last week, The Taos News quotes Ms. Cruz thus: “It is unfortunate that this individual [Cunnyngham] chose to remove these signs when they did not belong to him.” “
It’s unfortunate that he removed signs that might’ve been on his property that were put there without his approval?  If the signs were put on his property without his consent, that’s illegal.  If the signs were put on public property without permission , that’s also illegal.
“At that point, a younger man came across the street and again told Cunnyngham to put the signs back. When Cunnyngham refused, the man “pounded me in the chest,” Cunnyngham said. “
The article goes on to  state that his wife and son were restrained by some of these supporters when they tried to get to Mr Cunnyngham.
In my opinion, this says a great deal about Ms Cruz … and what it says isn’t good.  She wishes to be a judge?!?
Here’s what she should’ve done, again in my opinion:
First, she should have denounced the violence and assault carried out against Mr Cunnyngham.
Second, she should have publicly called on those involved in the assault to turn themselves in to the police immediately.
Third, she should apologize to Mr Cunnyngham (in private) if she wished, making it clear that those signs were not put in front of his property at her behest.
Instead, she said it was unfortunate that he removed the signs.
Ms Cruz, given the points I’ve made, do you wish to change your story?  Now how about it?
In my opinion, you’re not qualified to be a fair and impartial judge.  Now how about it?

Scott Walker Survives Recall Effort, Libs Call For His Murder

The link:  http://twitchy.com/2012/06/06/kill-scott-walker-angry-libs-flood-twitter-with-death-threats-after-wisconsin-recall-defeat/

First, a caveat.  Twitchy is one of Michelle Malkin's sites.

SECOND, a warning.  The language displayed by the libs isn't safe for work.  They also use the "C" word, and I don't mean "C" as in "cute."

Now if a conservative were to do these things, the DOJ would rightly show up and investigate.  However, these are liberals engaging in this hate speech and I'm sure that Mr Holder and the Department of (Social) Justice can't wait to ... do nothing.

I Was Part of the Problem

Part of the problem.

For a long time, I was part of the problem.  I was willing to trust our government, no matter what.  I would not criticize Republicans, no matter what.  That began to change during the years of the older President Bush because I saw some things that he was doing that I wasn’t happy about.  Although, to be honest, I did vote for him when he lost to President Clinton.  I had to hold my nose to do it, but I did vote for him over Mr Clinton.
Then we got a choice between Bob Dole(?!?) and Bill Clinton.  Because I knew what Clinton was, I held my nose (and put on nose plugs) and voted for Dole.  But Dole?!?  Whose brilliant idea was he?!?  It’s since been confirmed that it was “his turn.”  Isn’t that nice.  It’s not what’s best for the Country, it’s about whose turn it is.
Then it was Mr Bush (the younger, aka “shrub”) against Al Gore in the first race (and contrary to what many Democrats believe, he did not invent the Internet,) and then John “F-cking” Kerry in the second race.  (And while the Democrats excoriate Mr Romney for building his own wealth, Mr Kerry married into his.)  Again, I held my nose and voted for Shrub.
And then I saw what he was doing and then spoke out against him, vocally.  That completed my transformation from part of the problem to part of the solution.  Yes, I did vote for Shrub twice, and I regretted it the second time around.  But I did something that far too many people, on both sides of the aisle, have been unwilling to do:  I spoke out against him.
Enter the 2008 election, where it was Mr Obama against Mr McCain (or as I referred to him, Juan McAmnesty.)  Although I did speak out against Mr Obama far more than Mr McAmnesty, I also spoke out against him.  That particular election was, for me, about the lesser of two evils.  The main stream media, in my opinion, bent over backwards to get Mr Obama elected.  The media and Mr Obama’s handlers crafted this image of a super-human coming to save us from the evils of Shrub.
Don’t get me wrong; although I did vote for him the second time around I regretted it.  But in the 2008 election it really was the lesser of two evils.  Mr Obama is, I believe, a socialist.  Mr McCain was an open-borders zealot.  Never the less, I knew what would happen if Mr Obama got into office.
During his time in office, I’ve been writing to politicians of both sides of the aisle, criticizing them both for things I believe them to be doing wrong.
I took issue with the Republican National Committee, I took issue with Speaker Boehner, I took issue with Kris Jordan, whom I wrote about favourably on my blog.  Mr Jordan, in his personal email to me, corrected a mistake I had made.  I haven’t heard back from the Speaker or from the RNC.  Although, I’ve no doubt I’ve made numerous enemies.
That, however, isn’t the point.  The point is that I’m willing to criticize my own party for things I believe them to be doing wrong.
There are far too many people, on both sides of the aisle, who are unwilling to criticize their own party or their own candidate.
Many Democrats will vote for Mr Obama this coming election no matter what.  He could rip off a human disguise and show himself to be a space alien, and they’d still vote for him.
Many of his policies are running our Republic into the ground and they’re still going to vote for him.  The main stream media (see my previous posting) are again going to bend over backwards and insist that GOP Governors give Mr Obama credit, even when it might not be due.
But that also brings up another part of the problem; the main stream media.
Many people, myself included, laughed at Shrub’s inability to say ‘nuclear.’  I myself laughed when he walked into the wall in China.  It really wasn’t a shining moment for him!  His stumbles and gaffes have become the butt of numerous jokes.  And, he deserved them.
But let’s contrast that with Mr Obama’s saying that the March to Selma in 1965 was responsible for his parents getting together?!?(*) There’s just one slight problem; the March was in 1965.  Barack Obama, by all accounts, was born in 1961.
Let’s remember that he himself said he’d campaigned in 57 states, and then identified the city of Eau Claire as the “state of” Eau Claire.(*2)  Had it been an African-American Republican saying that, the press would be all over it.  For Obama, yet another pass?
Then it was Abraham Lincoln who built the intercontinental railroad, according to Mr Obama.(*3)  Again, there’s just one slight problem.  An intercontinental railroad goes between continents.  Mayhaps he meant the trans-continental railroad?
That is the point:  Part of the problem, or part of the solution?
If you’re going to mention the gaffes on the right, you’ve also got to mention those on the left.

OUCH! Juan Williams mocks Obama ad!

First, a quick note.  This particular posting was written by Mr Doug Powers, who along with Ms Malkin posts to the site (and others.)

Second; I'm going to disagree with one thing that Mr Powers wrote.  He wrote:

" Over the weekend there were a couple of examples of what’s almost certain to become a coordinated mainstream media trend in the coming months: Pleading with Republicans from states with better-than-average economies to give President Obama some credit for their state’s recovery. "

I believe it's a given that the media is going to do this.  And that's sad.

Remember the question I keep asking?  "Part of the solution, or part of the problem?"

Just asking.
