"Shelby" elected leader of Occupy Denver

That doesn't sound too bad. The "leaderless" (according to Micheal Moore (yes, the filmmaker)) "Occupy" movement elected a leader.

According to babynames.com, Shelby(*) is a girl's name that means "From The Town In The Hollow." Shelby was elected after the Denver leaders asked the "Occupy" movement to appoint a leader that they could speak with.

That doesn't sound too bad, does it? A politically-active twenty-something to speak as the movement's leader?

There's just one slight problem. The link: http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/11/09/every-dog-has-its-day-occupy-denver-elects-a-canine-leader/ (Yes, from Time Magazine.)

Denver's "Occupy" movement's leader is a dog. Yes, you read that correctly.

" It’s one small step for a canine, one giant leap for canine-kind.

" Occupy Denver’s newly elected official leader is young, politically independent and has mixed ancestry. If it sounds too good to be true, that’s because it almost is: that leader is a dog. "

Now I know I'm stupid (because the Democrats have told me so) but it would seem to me that if they were serious, they'd elect an actual person as their leader. Appointing a dog seems to me to be a deliberate slap in the face.

Or am I wrong?

Article: Dozens of hypodermic needles found at Zuccotti Park

The link: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/11/16/dozens-of-hypodermic-needles-found-among-trash-removed-from-zuccotti-park/

" NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – What was going on in Zuccotti Park?
Some of the activity that went down there was well documented. There were allegations of sexual assault. There were the growing health concerns. And CBS 2 cameras caught topless women dancing there.

" But what else may have been cooking?" (Links are CBSlocal's and are left intact.)

Well, the article goes on to state that " Among the items found during the scouring of the park: At least two dozen hypodermic needles. "

At least two dozen. At least.

Let's suppose for just a second that ONE such needle had been found during a Tea Party Protest. You and I both know where I'm going with this. But what the hell, right?

Tell me: How many more "But what the hell, right?" is it going to take?

The Tea Party Protests and the "Occupy" movement are two different things. THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

But I'm looking at Moveon.org's website now: http://front.moveon.org/ and in the upper-left corner you can see a link to an advert. It reads: "Don't Be Stupid, Be Democrats" Yes, I had thought part of liberalism was not to condescend or to call names.

And in the upper-RIGHT corner we see this: " Help fight the right-wing spin machine with the best progressive videos and graphics from around the web, delivered daily. "

You gotta love that. The "...right-wing spin machine..." Well, since MSNBC has officially called itself the "place for progressives," (according to their own president!) I guess that (by your own reasoning) makes them part of the "...left-wing spin machine...", ne?

Utah Wells Fargo hit with Molotov Cocktail

The link: http://www.abc4.com/content/news/top_stories/story/UPDATE-Wells-Fargo-bank-branch-hit-with-Molotov/9WLAXByPnkypvwQlhWza9g.cspx

I will quote only one line from the story (since the update (which is what the link is to) is so short):

" Responders do note that the act does not appear to part of the nationwide "Occupy Movement." "

Oh, really? Can they absolutely confirm that? Or are they saying it's yet another "lone wolf" before all the facts are in?

Suppose just for a second that during a Tea Party Protest one of the protesters had said they were going to "fire-bomb" buildings, as one of the "Occupy" protesters in New York did. You and I both know the press would be all over the story (and rightly so!) pontificating far and wide about how the act "absolutely proved" that the Tea Party people were "RAAAAACIST" and "filled with hate" and "bigots" and (insert epithet here). Some federal official would then take his (or her) 15 minutes of camera time and pontificate about how tighter controls were needed.

Instead, this happens AFTER an "Occupy" protester openly calls for buildings to be "fire-bombed" and stated that he was going to throw such a device (a Molotov) at Macy's. Are you really going to tell me (before all the facts are in, no less) that this is absolutely NOT related?

Come on.

Am I stating that it absolutely IS related? Nope. I'm waiting for all the facts to come in. Pity others can't be bothered to do the same.

From those oh-so-polite "Occupy" people

(Screenshot)

The links that we’re interested are on the right hand side of the screen. Since they’re so hard to read (yes, they are small aren’t they?) I’ll spell what they are and then give the link to each article. But there is a serious point to this.

Suppose just for a second that some of these shenanigans had taken place during a Tea Party Protest. The MSM would be all over the story (and rightly so!)

Well, as it turns out, there were no murders at a Tea Party Protest, yet have been at least one at the “Occupy” events. This is from the Huffington Post (yes, it’s a liberal blog, but it also makes my point for me quite well … for they quote from the Associated Press.)

The link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/04/occupy-oakland-costs_n_1077443.html

“OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The tear gas clouds have cleared, graffiti has been scrubbed off buildings and shattered glass has been swept away.

(CLICK HERE OR SCROLL DOWN FOR LATEST UPDATES)
As downtown Oakland attempts to get back to normal – which for now seems to include a massive Occupy Wall Street tent encampment in front of city hall – the costs of the movement on the long-struggling city are just starting to come into focus.

And the divisions over the violent tactics that capped an otherwise peaceful day of protest may be taking a toll on the movement itself.” (Link is the Huffington Post’s and is left intact. Emphasis added.)

So, from the liberal Huffington Post, we find out that at Occupy Oakland there has been graffiti, smashed windows (glass), tear gas clouds, and ‘…violent tactics…’

Well, it just so happens the shooting was captured on tape. The link: http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/11/11/shock-video-shootings-at-occupy-oakland-captured-on-tape/

(NOTE: Yes, this is to Glenn Beck’s site.)

But remember the DemocraticUnderground site calling it a lie? Turns out that USA Today has the article too: http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/story/2011-11-11/occupy-deaths/51164980/1?csp=34news

According to USA Today, one was at Occupy Oakland, the other death was at Occupy Vermont.
BUT WAIT! There were … oh no, there weren’t. Sorry, libs.

And then there’s this: http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/11/08/woman-dies-of-suspected-overdose-at-occupy-vancouver/ (Yes, libs: Time Magazine.)

The realities of the Occupy movement are proving grim. A woman at the Occupy Vancouver camp died Saturday after a suspected drug overdose. The woman, in her twenties, was found in a tent by a fellow protestor, apparently “unresponsive.” She was rushed to the hospital by paramedics, but was later pronounced dead.

Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson gave a statement about the “really tragic circumstances,” saying that it “clearly demonstrates that the situation in camp has deteriorated.” Robertson went on to say it was time to end the encampment, and city officials issued a notice on Monday to protestors, telling them to immediately pack up the tent city and leave the Vancouver Art Gallery plaza. “ (Link is Time’s and is left intact. Emphasis added.)

Turns out there was another overdose death in Salt Lake City due to the “Occupy” protest and a near-death in Toronto.

Get the idea yet? Nothing even remotely similar happened during a Tea Party Protest, yet those who routinely bash the Tea Party events due to their “RACISM” and “Barack-bashing” remain strangely mute on these issues.

From Michelle Malkin’s site: http://michellemalkin.com/2011/11/03/more-ugly-occupy-oakland-pictures-that-wont-make-msm-front-pages/

I’m going to quote three of the pictures: one says “Death to Capitalism”, another says “Capitalism killed my rights” and the third says “AX the 1%. ABOLISH BANKS & WAGE SLAVERY. FIGHT DIRECTLY FOR COMMUNISIM!” And at the bottom they were nice enough to put who sponsored the sign: “INTERNATIONAL COMMUNIST WORKERS’ PARTY”

Of course, had we seen that at a Tea Party Protest, the MSM would’ve been all over it. But these are communists and socialists and we know of at least one Obama front group behind the movement, so what the hell, right?

“ Fears expressed by some that the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement is being hijacked by the Democratic Party establishment have intensified after the official OWS website announced that it “stands in solidarity” with MoveOn.org, a lobbying group for the Wall Street-backed Obama administration.

“ The front page of the http://occupywallst.org/ proudly announces that numerous union groups will be present in New York today to join demonstrators in marches taking place this afternoon.” (Link is infowars.com’s and is left intact.)

Obama gives no-bid deal after campaigning he wouldn't

““I will finally end the abuse of no-bid contracts once and for all. The days of sweetheart deals for Halliburton and the like will be over when I’m in the White House.” – Senator Barack Obama 2-OCT-2008.

“ Those lobbyists in Washington have not funded my campaign. You have.” (Oh, really?)

Well, as it turns out, Mr Obama … lied. AGAIN.

The LA Times link: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-smallpox-20111113,0,4293298.story

Reporting from Washington—
Over the last year, the Obama administration has aggressively pushed a $433-million plan to buy an experimental smallpox drug, despite uncertainty over whether it is needed or will work.Senior officials have taken unusual steps to secure the contract for New York-based Siga Technologies Inc., whose controlling shareholder is billionaire Ronald O. Perelman, one of the world's richest men and a longtime Democratic Party donor.” (Link is LA Times' and is left intact.)

All together now … BARACK LIED (again and again and again)?!?!? “Say it ain’t so, Joe!”

Can we trust anything Mr Obama says at this point?

Sacrifice for me, but not for thee, Ms Obama? Now how about it?

Article: US walks out as Iran delivers anti-US speech

The link: http://news.yahoo.com/us-walks-iran-delivers-anti-us-speech-172115419.html

" Ahmadinejad attacked the United States for history of slavery, causing two world wars, using a nuclear bomb against "defenseless people," and imposing and supporting military dictatorships and totalitarian regimes on Asian, African and Latin American nations. "

And, as it turns out, gets some history wrong in the process.

But let's start at the beginning, shall we?

Mammy (my first name for him, since I disprespect him) said that he blamed us for a history of slavery. But what does Wikipedia have to say about slavery (*)?

" Conditions that can be considered slavery include debt bondage, indentured servitude, serfdom, domestic servants kept in captivity, adoption in which children are effectively forced to work as slaves, child soldiers, and forced marriage.[2]

" Slavery predates written records and has existed in many cultures.[3] The number of slaves today is higher than at any point in history,[4] remaining as high as 12 million[5] to 27 million,[6][7][8] though this is probably the smallest proportion of the world's population in history.[9] Most are debt slaves, largely in South Asia, who are under debt bondage incurred by lenders, sometimes even for generations.[10] Human trafficking is primarily for prostituting women and children into sex industries.[11] " (Links are Wikipedia's and are left intact. Emphasis added.)

Now it's true that the United States has had its own sad history of slavery (**). I can't, and won't deny that. But to blame us for all slavery? Come on, Mammy. "Forced marriage?" It's happened in the U.S as well, but it also happens in some Muslim countries to this very day, doesn't it? It also happens in some Asian countries where human trafficers arrange "marriages" to an American to get somebody into the country.

But there's also this: (and this was before the U.S. existed as a country, Mammy!) " The first English colony in North America, Virginia, acquired its first Africans in 1619, after a ship arrived, unsolicited, carrying a cargo of about 20 Africans.[2][3] " (Links are Wikipedia's and are left intact.)

In fact, hasn't bride raiding (Kidnapping (***)) been an accepted practice in the past in some countries? And isn't it true that it still happens today? How about it, Mammy? Nothing to say?

And according to Mammy, the U.S. caused both World Wars. I don't think I need to go into too much detail here, but: WWI was caused by the assasination of an Austrian Arch-Duke by a Serbian, Mammy!!! (*4)

World War II was caused, it's generally accepted, by the conditions imposed upon Germany by the Treaty of Versailles (*5). In fact, let's quote from the Wikipedia article, shall we?

" Germany was not pacified or conciliated, nor permanently weakened. This would prove to be a factor leading to later conflicts, notably and directly World War II.[7] (Links are Wikipedia's and are left intact. Emphasis added.)

As for the Atomic bombings (*6), I'll let Wikipedia say it best: " The role of the bombings in Japan's surrender and the U.S.'s ethical justification for them, as well as their strategic importance, is still debated.[10][11] " (Links are Wikipedia's and are left intact.)

So in everything he's said so far, he's been wrong.

Shame on you, Mammy.

Something I HATE (SCREENSHOT)

I need to apologize for how small the image is, but if you look at it, you'll see that IE blocked a popup ad. This is the bar at the top of the screen.

But then we come to right above the START button (lower left-hand corner) There we see that the site I was on added a toolbar at the bottom AND an advert above that.

Granted, if I were on a faster computer, these wouldn't slow my system down too much. And when my PIV 3.7G system was still "alive" it wasn't an issue.

But that computer bit the dust (died with a series of POST (Power On Self Test) beeps) and was good for only a doorstop. So I removed what I could save, but the motherboard and CPU were toast.

So now I'm using a PIV 1.7G machine with only 512mb of RAM. Yes, I know it sucks. But it also happens to be all I have (unless I count my laptop, which I use on the road.)

A popup at top, a toolbar on the bottom and an advert. As I said, on a fast machine it really doesn't make a difference.

But think of those like me who are using older machines with slow CPUs and not much RAM. Granted, I COULD buy a better one ... if I had the money.

This isn't a 'feel sorry for me post' rather, it's a post that means that many web sites really don't care about the number of popups, ads, toolbars, etc that they force on you.

For my laptop, not a problem. It's a quad core machine with 4G of DDR RAM and a HUGE hard drive. It runs circles around this machine.

For THIS machine (the one I use to surf the web due to security issues) a MAJOR problem. Yes, call me anal when I mention security issues. Yet my system has YET to be infected by a virus, trojan, or adware. (Knocking on wood. I typed in YET for a reason. Just because I've been 'anal' doesn't mean I can't or won't be infected in the future.) My now ex-wife had her machine hijacked once. And I'm willing to bet that at least somebody reading this has had their wireless laptops hijacked?

Call me anal, please! This is one label I'll HAPPILY accept. I'm anal about computer security.

But SHAME on these sites for all the toolbars, ads, and popups. SHAME.

Article: "Obama: I'd like to work my way around Congress"

The link: http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/obama-id-work-my-way-around-congress

" Facing growing opposition to his economic proposals and dimming prospects that Congress will pass other parts of his agenda, President Obama told a Hispanic group in Washington Wednesday that when it comes to the issue of immigration, "I'd like to work my way around Congress."

"As I mentioned when I was at La Raza a few weeks back, I wish I had a magic wand and could make this all happen on my own," Obama told a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. "There are times where -- until Nancy Pelosi is speaker again -- I'd like to work my way around Congress." "

Unfortunately for you Mr Obama (and thank God from where I sit) that's not what our "pesky" Constitution says.

YOU MUST GO THROUGH CONGRESS, MR OBAMA. You, as it appears to me, are the EXACT REASON that our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution the way they did.

Article: 3-year-olds branded "racist" "homophobic"

The link: http://www.infowars.com/3-year-olds-branded-racist-homophobic-put-in-government-database/

NOTE: This is Alex Jones’ site. Yes, that Alex Jones. But given the frequency with which things he’s said have happened … perhaps he’s not ‘just a conspiracy theorist?’

“Over 30,000 British schoolchildren, some as young as three, have had their names registered on a government database and branded “racist” or “homophobic” for using playground insults, infractions that could impact their future careers. “ (emphasis added)

This should scare the hell out of you. We all know that 3 year olds aren’t exactly reserved in what they say … or in how they say it. If you were to ask a 3 year old what he or she thought, they’d tell you. (Granted, unless he or she had been coached.) If you were to ask an adult that same question (and phrased in the exact same way) they’d probably pause for a moment and think about how to phrase their reply so that they wouldn’t offend you.

The simple fact is that at some point you’re going to offend somebody whether you had intended to or not. It’s already happened to me. While at work one day I passed a co-worker in the hallway and offered a cheery “Good morning!”

TRUE STORY: She went to the Human Resources (they used to be called Personnel Managers) Manager and filed a complaint because she was offended. True story.

After getting both sides of the story (and pulling the tape from the corridor security camera) the “complaint” was rejected (ie: ruled as being without merit.) But the facts remain: FIRST, I was accused of an offense I did not commit and SECOND that the complaint was ruled as being without merit. Yet they remain on my record. (And since I've written about it before, it's also in the public record.)

But they also should serve as proof that even if you don’t intend to give offense, somebody somewhere will be offended. You simply can’t get around that one. Somebody somewhere will take offense at something. PERIOD.

To get back to the story, one of the children in the story was added to the database after telling his or her teacher “this is gay” while referring to the work that had been assigned. In this context, it obviously wasn’t a hate crime. And yet that child was still added to the database.

The article goes on to note that such a report would follow a student from school to school and could be used by future employers.

I’m now going to leave you by quoting the last two paragraphs of the story … but with this important caveat. Again, this is Mr Jones’ site. (Yes, that Mr Jones.) But since he and others have been warning about this … is it still ‘just a conspiracy theory?’

“This is a clear example of how hate crime laws have brazenly been hijacked by the state to get children institutionalized on criminal databases at an early age. This is about the state dictating what your child can think and say – it’s the thought police on steroids.

“Orwell talked about the state reducing language via Newspeak in his book 1984. By eliminating the very words that come out of children’s mouths and punishing them for thinking certain thoughts, all critical thinking is ultimately abolished, and Big Brother assumes the supreme power to dictate reality – a dictatorship over our very minds.”

Obama: " If you love me..."

The link: http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/181507-obama-if-you-love-me-youve-got-to-help-me-pass-this-bill

“On Wednesday he [Mr Obama] added, "But if you love me you've got to help me pass this bill."

Did I read that correctly?!? If we love him we have to pass another stimulus bill?!?

News flash Mr Obama: It isn’t about you, this is what’s best for the United States.

And from where I sit, Mr Obama, it isn’t you. Two years into your term and all you’ve done is make things worse.

Yes, you did inherit two wars. And yes, you did inherit a major deficit. I’ve never stated otherwise. Yes, things were bad when you took office. In face, I’ve stated on and for the record that things were indeed bad when you became President. But if you look Mr Obama, President Bush added $4.9 trillion to the debt in his EIGHT years in office.

In TWO years, you’ve added $4 trillion; despite your and Ms Pelosi’s claims that you’d cut the deficit by half.

And now, just like you did when you shoved the “health-care ‘reform’” bill down the Nation’s throat … we have to pass it to see what’s in it?!?

Well, the LAST time you did that I found out that I’d have to pay to help fund abortions … something I’m against.

Think of it this way, Mr Obama. Let’s say you were a woman and walked into your doctor’s office and told him that you wanted an abortion. Period.

How would you feel if you were told that under the health-care reform bill, you either had to give birth to the child OR face jail time and/or pay a fine. You wouldn’t like it, would you? The truth?

The last time you did that somebody threw in a provision that if I don’t buy your insurance, I can face a fine or face a jail term. According to your own CBO (Congressional Budget Office) and the GAO (General Accounting Office), all your health-care reform bill did is hike premiums. In face, people are dropping health insurance altogether rather than face your ‘reform’ bill. All these facts are also part of the public record, Mr Obama.

But what got me is that “if you love me … “ That sounds rather like a manipulative statement to me. Sounds to me like you’re trying to manipulate your drooling sycophants.

Article: "US drops to 5th place"

The link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44423519/ns/business-stocks_and_economy/t/us-falls-th-global-competitiveness-survey-shows/?GT1=43001

" GENEVA — The U.S. has tumbled further down a global ranking of the world's most competitive economies, landing at fifth place because of its huge deficits and declining public faith in government, a global economic group said Wednesday. " (Link is msnbc.com's and is left intact. Emphasis added.)

I've added the emphasis due to something Mr Obama would like to forget. If you remember, he (rightly!) took President Bush to task for adding 4 trillion dollars to our debt during his eight years in office. I say rightly because you simply can't add more to the deficit. You just can't. When you do that, you leave it to your children (and possibly their children too) to pay back.

So Mr Obama rightly took President Bush to task. But how much debt did Mr Obama add in his TWO years?

4 trillion dollars.

Honestly.

Another link: http://www.cnsnews.com/node/72404

" Obama Added More to National Debt in First 19 Months Than All Presidents from Washington Through Reagan Combined, Says Gov’t Data "

Telling, isn't it?

Consider this also. The link: http://www.conservativecommune.com/2011/08/4-trillion-in-debt-added-under-obama/

" Deficit spending has risen faster under Barack Obama than any other president in history. That’s not to say other presidents weren’t in the red during their administrations, but in the case of Obama, its over 4 trillion dollars in less than a single term. " (Link is Conservativecommune.com's and is left intact. Emphasis added.)

http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/article/york-spending-not-entitlements-created-deficits

Truer words were (almost) never spoken.

Probably the only thing more true is this: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

Article: "No Paper Or Plastic?"

The link: http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2011/09/07/no-paper-or-plastic-la-shoppers-wary-of-proposed-nightmare-ban/

" LOS ANGELES (CBS) — An effort to allow only reusable bags at Los Angeles grocery stores may sound like a political long-shot, but one city councilman thinks the public will eventually warm up to the initiative. "

I'm of two minds about this. First, I honestly don't think an outright ban is a good idea. I honestly don't think it'll fly.

Secondly, there is another way to achieve the same results.

What they're trying to do, obviously, is to reduce (and/or eliminate) the number of plastic and paper bags that make it into the landfill, as quite a bit of trash that makes it there are those bags.

Wal-Mart does things a different way. They have a receptacle inside (in my local store) it's near the Customer Service Desk where you can leave their plastic bags. These bags are then recycled and don't make it to the landfill.

Perhaps LA could try something like that, with some sort of incentive? Something like a percentage discount applied to your next shopping purchase?

The scenario would go something like this:

You save the plastic bags from your shopping trips and then, when you have enough of them, you take them to the store to be recycled. The associate at the Service Desk would then give you a receipt for your bags where the amount of the rebate would depend on the number of bags you'd brought back. (Obviously, you wouldn't want to count the things, so they could be weighed.)

You do your shopping as usual and at the checkout, you present the receipt you'd gotten earlier to the associate at the checkout who then deducts the amount on the receipt from the bill.

Obviously, there would be bugs and snafus to be worked out. But in theory, it could work.

In order that I don't have to type the entire thing out again, here's what I wrote about it some time back: (well, the link to it anyway) http://gregb1967.blogspot.com/2009/06/i-think-im-going-to-shock-somebody.html

If you think that this doesn't affect you, you might wish to consider this: " These toxin-containing plastic pieces are also eaten by jellyfish, which are then eaten by larger fish. Many of these fish are then consumed by humans, resulting in their ingestion of toxic chemicals.[32] Marine plastics also facilitate the spread of invasive species that attach to floating plastic in one region and drift long distances to colonize other ecosystems.[15] " (Links are Wikipedia's and are left intact. Emphasis added.)

Open Letter to Mr Obama

Mr Obama;

For reference, this is one of the articles I’ll be discussing: http://www.wmal.com/article.asp?id=2279665&SPID=28718

“ WASHINGTON -- A top aide to President Obama says Americans must decide for themselves how to be civil with each other -- a rather sharp departure from comments that Obama has himself made in the past. “

There is a word for that, Mr Obama. And the word, straight from dictionary.com is “hypocrisy.” After all, didn’t you yourself tell me that I had to be civil? I have been civil. But for you and your party it appears, you don’t need to be? “Civility for thee, but not for me?” Is that what you’re saying Mr Obama? Now how about it? I honestly want to hear from you.

BUT, you’ll do it WITHOUT reaching for one of the following cards:

The RAAAAAAAAACIST card;
The stupid or uninformed card,
The sexist card,
The belittling card,
The name-calling card.

For reference, here is the article where I take all of the Liberals favourite cards off the table: http://gregb1967.blogspot.com/2010/06/dissecting-5-facts-about-anti-reform.html

And http://gregb1967.blogspot.com/2009/08/article-let-them-eat-cake-democrats.html

ALL FIVE OF YOUR FAVOURITE CARDS ARE NOW OFF THE TABLE, Mr Obama.

And yet I know that you’ll reach for at least two of those cards. In fact, I’ll be willing to bet that you’ll reach for at least one of those cards THREE TIMES.

But I want to hear from you, Mr Obama. You’ve called on me to be civil. I have been. Yet we have Mr Etheridge grabbing a young man by his neck, we have Rep. Kanjorski LYING, we have a Democrat running as a member of the Tea Party, and YOU have the audacity to tell ME to be civil?!? Now how about it?

I’ll be civil, Mr Obama. But you can bet that I’ll DEMAND the same from you.

Now how about it?

I now leave you as I quote from Jack Webb as he played Det. Sgt. Joe Friday on Dragnet:

“That isn’t what you told the investigating officers at the scene, fella.”

“Well, I had to protect myself. You understand, don’tcha?"

“I understand that either you lied to the investigating officers or you’re lying to us now. Now how about it?”

“You want the truth, don’t you? Well you’re getting it. The least you could do is try to believe it.”

“You make it kind of hard to buy.”

And:

“ I’ve told you. The whole story.”

“No, there’s one thing you left out.”

“What’s that?”

Name change for Mr Obama - "President Hypocrite."

The link: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/09/05/obama_says_he_is_proud_of_hoffa.html

" When he took the stage, President Obama said he was "proud" of Jimmy Hoffa and other labor leaders.

" Prior to Obama's appearance Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa told the crowd, speaking about Republicans, that we need to "take these son of bitches out." "

President Hypocrite, please change your stationary immediately or as soon as possible. Your two choices are:

The Ass at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, "ass in this context referring to a donkey or a burro"

OR

President Hypocrite at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

SHAME on you President Hypocrite. SHAME.

You called on me to be civil. I have been. But if you don't have to be civil, then explain to me why I must be.

I want to hear your explanation.

BUT YOU'LL DO IT WITHOUT the
name-calling card

the belittling card,

the RAAAAAAAACIST card

the stupid or uniformed card.

Do you think you can do that President Hypocrite? Because if you follow the other Demcrat's pattern, you'll reach for at least one of those cards. In fact, you'll reach for one of those cards at least TWICE.

SHAME on you, President Hypocrite.

CIVILITY FOR YOU TOO. Otherwise, you can stick it up your nether regions.

Now for the Department of Hussein's Sycophants; that is not a threat against Mr Obama. I'm telling him that if HIS OWN PARTY CANNOT be civil, well ... it must go both ways.

Do YOU DHS agent, think YOU can do that without reaching for one of the above-mentioned cards?

I didn't think so.

More from the "Civility Police" "...take these son of bitches out."

The link: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/09/05/jimmy_hoffa_at_obama_event_on_gop_lets_take_these_son_of_bitches_out.html

" "President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong," Hoffa added. "

First, this should be "sons" since he is, I assume, talking about not just one person ... but the plural?

Second, this isn't a "war" on workers. I was once part of the Communications Workers of America, part of the AFL-CIO, and was covered by a union. I've agreed that unions can be good things. But then we come to the strong-arm bullying. Shame on you.

THIRD: Didn't Mr Obama himself call for civility? And now we face the hypocrisy. SHAME on you, Sir. SHAME. If you want me to be civil, that's great. But I'm going to DEMAND the same from you. And if you don't ... you can take your civility and shove it up your ass.

NYT OpEd: "One and Done?"

The link: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/04/opinion/dowd-one-and-done.html?_r=2&ref=maureendowd

You KNOW you're in trouble when Ms Dowd writes this!!

I really don't know what to say about this article, except that I was literally shocked to read it. At first, I couldn't believe it was Ms Dowd writing it. After I read her name again, however...

But the article deserves comment:

" ONE day during the 2008 campaign, as Barack Obama read the foreboding news of the mounting economic and military catastrophes that W. was bequeathing his successor, he dryly remarked to aides: “Maybe I should throw the game.” "

Now it is true that Mr Obama did inherit a bad economy. I've never said otherwise. And it's true he inherited two wars. But come on now. How far are we into Mr Obama's term?

" On the razor’s edge of another recession; blocked at every turn by Republicans determined to slice him up at any cost; starting an unexpectedly daunting re-election bid; and puzzling over how to make a prime-time speech about infrastructure and payroll taxes soar, maybe President Obama is wishing that he had thrown the game. "

But this is where I take exception. "...Republicans determined to slice him up at any cost" What about during the first two years of Mr Obama's term when the Democrats had a super-majority and control of BOTH houses of Congress? He could've done so much more than what he did ... as Ms Dowd herself noted.

UPDATE on Steve Chabot "town hall"

The link: http://cincinnati.com/blogs/politics/2011/08/24/democrats-cameras-seized-by-police-at-chabot-town-hall-meeting/

Well, as it turns out, the "town hall" meeting in which police seized several cameras ... I'm going to quote from the article:

" But David Little, a Cincinnati Democrat working with ProgressOhio, a liberal organization, and Liz Ping, a Democrat who ran unsuccessfully for the Ohio House last year, were taking video at the event. Little was using an iPhone video camera while Ping, who was taping the meeting for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, was using a flip video camera mounted on a stand. About 100 persons were present – most of whom were clearly not supporters of the 1st District Republican congressman." (emphasis added)

But that still doesn't change what I said earlier. "If we're to be damned, let's be damned for what we really are." to paraphrase a famous saying.

In other words, if Mr Chabot conducts himself to the level (or above the level) that we've come to expect from Democrats (a la Mr Kanjorski lying, Mr Weiner's ... erm ... weiner-gate, Mr Ethridge's accosting that young man and grabbing him by the neck ... need I go on?)

Article: "Jewelry heist is a bust for 'clown' robbers"

The link: http://www.kdvr.com/news/kdvr-jewelry-heist-is-a-bust-for-clown-robbers-20110824,0,2807700.story

" DENVER – Police in Denver were on the lookout Thursday for two gun-waving jewelry store robbers who threatened to shoot employees and customers.

" As it turns out, the joke was on the two clowns who robbed Sonny's Rocks on South Colorado Blvd. Wednesday morning. " (Links are KDVR's and are left intact.)

" Sonny’s Rocks Jewelry Store, like most jewelry stores, no longer displays real jewelry, a change the store made when the price of precious metals and gems started going up a few years ago. " (emphasis added)

I honestly didn't know that. But when you think about it, it makes perfect sense. With gold trading at $1,726 per ounce(*) it makes a LOT of sense!

I'm just glad that the robbers didn't hurt anybody. Emotionally, I'm sure that several if not most of the customers (and employees) were shaken, I thank God that nobody was hurt or killed. Gold, although it is expensive, is still not nearly worth the cost of somebody's life.

Although the robbers got a bunch of junk, I do wish I was a fly on the wall as they tried to sell their loot to a fence. "You're jokin', right? What the hell're you two tryin' t' pull?"

"Whaddya mean?"

"THIS SH*T'S WORTHLESS! It's junk! Fake gold, fake stones!"

Hurricane Irene

HURRICANE IRENE

As of this writing (09:57hrs on 25-AUG-2011) Hurricane Irene is a Cat 3 storm and is still on course for … we’re not yet sure. Exactly (See tracks above.)

But that brings up something that happened during Hurricane Katrina, and happens all too frequently.

If you remember, in the hours and days after Katrina roared ashore, numerous "charities" sprang up claiming to represent honest charity groups and organizations. These "charities" (I'm trying not to spit as I write that, because these are criminals. Plain and simple. If it were up to me, I'd jail every last one of them ... and put them to work at hard labour. They are, in my opinion, among the lowest of the low.) claimed to be collecting monies for the Red Cross and other legitimate charities, and then ran off.

Beware, my friends, because although this is another of those 'duh' moments, the same thing will happen after Irene makes landfall.

The American Red Cross (http://www.redcross.org/) has on its website a list of their chapters, as well as ways to spot thieves.

If you do donate to charity (I hope you do!), give only to legitimate charities, such as the American Red Cross. (As an aside, and in the interest of full disclosure, I have no relationship in any way with the American Red Cross. I do donate money to them, but that is all.)

Beware of those who call you and claim to be involved with legitimate charities. Ask questions! The real charities won't mind this. The bogus ones will. Visit their website (if they have one.) Beware also of emails which you might receive which also claim to be collecting money for the Red Cross (or any other charities.)

And if they claim to be collecting money for the Red Cross, consider giving the money directly to the Red Cross. (Again, the Red Cross and other legitimate charities have on their respective sites addresses and locations where you can give money and other items. They will also tell you with whom they do business, and what other charities collect money and other items for them.)

But please be cautious.

Although there are many legitimate organizations that do collect money and other items for the Red Cross and other charities, (yes, another 'duh' moment) we're about to be inundated with scams and criminals claiming to do the same thing.

Please, please be careful.

One final note on this subject: I've named the Red Cross several times. And they are an excellent legitimate charity that does wonderful work. But they're not the only one, to be sure.

There are many other legitimate charities out there that also do wonderful work. If you do

donate to charity (I hope you do!) consider also giving to them.

We're all in this together.

FOR THOSE IN HARM'S WAY:

My thoughts, indeed my prayers, go out to you. If you can leave on your own, please do so when (IF!) ordered to do so. If you do need assistance, contact a charity or your local authorities to see about getting assistance to evacuate. Take only what you need, and please don't forget to take your important papers with you. (These include your passport, birth certificate for yourself and family members, bank account information, and so on. Also, your Social Security Card, Driver's License (or State ID,) and other such documents.)

The reason I mentioned that is because there are even lower people out there who will loot stores and homes. And some of those are identity thieves.

Please be careful, and I will hold you in my prayers.

An Open Letter to Congressman Steve Chabot (R-OH)

Mr Chabot;

For reference, this is the article I will be calling your attention to: http://www.infowars.com/cops-confiscate-cameras-at-ohio-congressmans-town-hall/

Before I go too deeply into my letter to you, I thought I’d give you the opportunity to explain yourself. I realize I’m not in your district, therefore the odds of my hearing from you are somewhere along the lines of the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) actually producing a black hole. It is possible in theory and on paper; but I shouldn’t like to hold my breath waiting for it to happen. The odds? 1 over “n” where “n” is the number of molecules in the given area. In the room you were in, 1 over n^810 (n to the 810th power.) (In simple terms 1 over 1 followed by 809 zeros.) (This includes the people and the estimated volume of air in the given area.) In other words, the universe will have to end before it happens.

As the universe will have to end before your stupid request makes sense. One of your own staffers told Think Progress (A LIBERAL blog) that they wanted to “prevent” people from “making a show.”

Mr Chabot, are you that afraid of your constituents? It is a valid question. Are you that afraid of what they have to say? Pardon me for saying this; but that’s conduct I’ve come to expect from Democrats, including my own sister who simply refuses to hear any criticism of her “chosen one,” the Obamessiah. I’ve offered FOUR TIMES to show her PROOF that what she believes is wrong, yet she refuses to see it.

As you, it sadly appears, simply cannot be bothered to hear from the people you allegedly represent. As I said; this is something I expect from a Democrat. For reference, you might wish to read this:
http://gregb1967.blogspot.com/2010/06/dissecting-5-facts-about-anti-reform.html

My IQ is 127 according to my fourth standardized IQ test in the past eleven months (3 tests in a year makes it statistically accurate.) That score, 127, is three points shy of “gifted,” so if you do bother to reply, you’d best make sense. While standard lines and talking points will work fine against others, they fail miserably against me.

So, Mr Chabot, do you dare to reply? I await what will, in all probability, be an echoing silence.

Article: " New data spill shows risk of online health records "

The link: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_TEC_MEDICAL_DATA_MINEFIELD?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2011-08-21-16-33-57

" SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Until recently, medical files belonging to nearly 300,000 Californians sat unsecured on the Internet for the entire world to see.

" There were insurance forms, Social Security numbers and doctors' notes. Among the files were summaries that spelled out, in painstaking detail, a trucker's crushed fingers, a maintenance worker's broken ribs and one man's bout with sexual dysfunction. "

I'm of two minds on this. First, I do understand and in cases agree with health records being available online - when properly secured.

Think of it this way: A nature enthusiast goes into another state to hike a nature trail. She's wearing a medic alert bracelet with an RFID chip inside it. The chip contains her medical history, including her previous three broken ribs and a severe allergy to penicillin.

She gets injured somehow and is rushed to the local hospital. In the ER one of the people there scans her bracelet and discovers the allergy to penicillin ... just as the ER attending doctor was about to inject her with it.

It could happen, couldn't it? In this case I can't absolutely say that the bracelet saved her life, but I can say it saved her from a severe allergic reaction and possibly lift-threatening injection.

But as the article itself goes on to say later " "Even the most well-designed systems are not safe. ... This case is a good example of how the human element is the weakest link." "

You can say that again. I remember in the original Jurassic Park movie a line about how the people who recreated the dinosaurs were so interested and so fixed on seeing if they could do it that they never stopped to think if they should. Granted, that is a really bad paraphrase, but you get the idea.

Microsoft also suffered from this in some of their earlier OS', at least according to Steve Gibson. They would put something in the OS just to be able to say "Well Windows does that too!"

But they never stopped to think about how such code could be misused. Just as the people responsible for this data apparently never bothered to properly secure it.

I'm not stupid and I'll be the first to admit that there is no such thing as a 100 per cent safe computer. Well, time for that full disclosure thing: There is such a thing as a 100 per cent safe computer, but it can't be hooked up to the web and you can't transfer documents to it. For a complete reading, go here: http://gregb1967.blogspot.com/2009/11/safe-versus-safer.html
In this case that safe computer is nearly useless.

But these people take the cake: " He [Identity Finder researcher Aaron Titus]called the breach "likely a case of felony stupidity." "

I'd also call it a case of not bothering to think about the ramifications of having data on the Internet.

" The data were "available to anyone in the world with half a brain and access to Google," Titus says. "

Um...yeah. It makes me think (and wonder) about my medical data.

Article: Tea Party Group Slams Rep. Waters over 'Straight to Hell' Outburst

The link: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/08/22/rep-waters-tea-party-can-go-straight-to-hell/#ixzz1VmEtV49u

" "We've had Democrats calling American citizens 'terrorists' and 'hostage takers,' and now an elected Democratic representative says that we can 'go straight to hell.' The president and all leaders of the Democratic Party, who have called for civility in the past, are neglecting to censure their own. Is civility only required from their opponents?" they asked in a statement. "Perhaps it's time for a new-NEW era of civility. ... The president's silence on these latest violations of civility has been deafening, but not surprising." " (emphasis and colour added)

It's a valid question, isn't it? Seriously, isn't it a valid question?

You and I both know that if I were to say Ms. Waters could go "...straight to hell," the FBI, the CIA, the DHS (Department of Hussein's Sycophants) and other 3-letter agencies would be here in about 2 seconds.

Civility for me, but not for thee Mr Obama? How about it, Dems? Please answer the question without resorting to the race card, the gender card, the name calling card or the belittling card. Or telling me or others that our hearts are filled with hate. Think you can do that?

I didn't think so.

"Obama blames..."

... everybody else. This time, he blames Congress.

" In remarks recorded on Wednesday on his campaign-style bus tour in Illinois and aired during his holiday in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, Obama said the stalled construction, trade and payroll tax bills could give a boost to the economy." (Link is Reuters' and is left intact.)

But I would like to point something out " ... on his campaign-style bus tour ... "

Apparently, Reuters didn't get the Obama Admin's talking point that the bus tour was absolutely not a campaign trip. Nor should it have looked like one.

But do a Google search for "Obama"

FIFTH LISTING DOWN. Bad job, O!

Free Cell Phones are a Civil Right?!?

The link: http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/capitol/free_cell_phones_are_civil_right_htTMcKQFrjdvyl9A6NHPdP#ixzz1TrgxELho

" Recently, a federal government program called the Universal Service Fund came to the Keystone State and some residents are thrilled because it means they can enjoy 250 minutes a month and a handset for free, just because they don't have the money to pay for it. "

That Universal Service Fund is something those with cell phones pay ... for others who can't afford cell phones to get them ... for free. On your dime.

Read the entire stomach-churning article for yourself. Socialism?

" The telecommunications companies like Verizon and AT&T want more paying customers, but their desire to reform their deal with the feds dovetails nicely with the political ideology of the current FCC chairman Julian Genachowski, who like all Obama administration flunkies sees 'rights' where others see 'priviledges'. " (bold and italics added)

2006 versus 2011

In 2006, then-Senator Barack Obama said that "...raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure." And, he voted against doing so ... as did every other Democrat.

Just pointing that out.

MSNBC: Are Tea Partiers Delusional?

The link: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/msnbc-host-guest-call-tea-partiers-addicts-delusional_581987.html

" Bashir later asked: "So you're saying that they are delusional about the past and adamant about the future?"

"They are adamant about achieving something that's unachievable, which reminds us of a couple of things. It reminds us of delusion and psychosis," Peele responded. "

Something that's "unachievable?" I want the government to live within its means. That's "unachievable?"

I want Mr Obama to move away from his socialist policies. I'll concede that one to the "expert."

But my wanting the government to live within its means and not overtax the American People makes me delusional?

Dr Peele thinks he can diagnose me without having seen me in person, without knowing anything about me except that I'm a Tea Party supporter.

How's that for delusional?

WH spin cycle: Spin, spin, and spin again. Repeat.

The link: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/08/03/obama_were_not_even_halfway_there_yet.html

I have to take strong exception to what the White House mouthpiece said today. He said (to paraphrase) that when President TelePrompTer came into office that many economists were saying we were heading for a depression.

It’s true that some were. I was. But if you remember, getting President TelePrompTer elected was supposed to fix the economy. He was the saviour in the saviour-based economy. His getting (without earning in my opinion) the Nobel Prize was supposed to fix everything. It was supposed to improve America’s “bad” standing in the world. It didn’t quite work out that way, did it?

Now it is true that President Obama did inherit a bad economy. I’ve never said otherwise. But how far into Mr Obama’s term are we? And things haven’t gotten better, they’ve gotten worse.

But the spinning doesn’t, and won’t, stop there. On the front page of the Drudge Report as of this writing (see screenshot below) is this line where Mr Obama said “I didn’t say change we can believe in tomorrow.”

Now that’s all well and good. But many people were hoping that Mr Obama’s “change we need” and “change we can believe in” and “hope” were promising that if only we’d elect him, he’d fix everything quickly.

But things haven’t gotten better, they’ve gotten worse.

Therefore, I have to ask: is it just barely possible that he’s made a bad situation worse? Be very careful with your answer. If you answer no, then … well, we’ve covered that ground before, haven’t we?

Is it just barely possible that he might possibly bear some blame for the bad economy? Notice the way that’s phrased: “ … just barely possible … “ and “ … might possibly bear some blame … “ The way the question is phrased I’m not saying he does: I’m asking if it’s possible.

It’s no secret that I don’t like Mr Obama’s policies, I never have. I’ve never stated otherwise, either. I was willing to give him a chance on fixing the economy (and everything else) because morally it’s the right thing to do and because he was the President.

Things didn’t work out that way. We’re now in a double-dip recession, since the “first” one ended (in theory) in 2009. In reality, I don’t believe it ever ended. Many people, myself included, believe we’re now on the brink of a depression.

Obama’s policies have, in my opinion, made an already bad situation worse.eady bad situation worse.

AP: "Northeast braces for temps near boiling point"

Yes, you read that correctly. There's just one slight problem.

Water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit which is 100 degrees Celsius. And that's at one atmosphere of pressure (sea level.) It's 373.15 degrees Kelvin for instance.

Given all the pontification they were doing during the RatherGate Affair about their "layers of fact-checking" which I believe was the exact phrase that was used, I rather expect them to pick up on small details such as this.

Perhaps, as one of the comments on the page noted, they're too busy digging up dirt on Ms Palin's upcoming book. Or, perhaps they're too busy repeating the Democrat's talking points about the Tea Party people being "terrorists" or as the President has said "holding a gun to the heads of the American People."

Civility for me but not for thee, Mr Obama?

Joe Biden: Tea Partiers "acted like terrorists."

The link: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0811/60421.html

" Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday, accusing them of having "acted like terrorists" in the fight over raising the nation’s debt limit, according to several sources in the room. " (Link is Politico's and is left intact.)

" ... having acted like terrorists ... " Let's see:

Did I; blow up government buildings like Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground did? Nope.
Did I; murder innocent people as Maj. Hasan did at Fort Hood? Nope.
Did I; hide a bomb in my underwear and try to blow up a plane? Nope.
Did I; hide a bomb in my shoe and try to blow up a plane? Nope.
Did I; strap a bomb to myself and try to blow up the Space Needle? Nope.

But because I'm for fiscal reform, I'm the "terrorist?" Did I miss something?

" We have negotiated with terrorists," an angry [Rep. Mike Doyle (D-PA)] said, according to sources in the room. "This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money."

Apparently, these two men missed Mr Obama's calls to tone down the rhetoric after Rep. Giffords was shot. Either that, or they just don't give a damn. More of "Do as I say - not as I do!"

" Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) called it a "Satan sandwich," and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) called seemed to enjoy the heat analogy, saying: "the Tea Partiers and the GOP have made their slash and burn lunacy clear, and while I do not love this compromise, my vote is a hose to stop the burning. The arsonists must be stopped. "

So now I'm an arsonist, too?

Now how about it, Dems? You tone down your rhetoric.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee pulls out the Race card

The link: http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/house/171807-sheila-jackson-lee-suggests-congress-complicating-debt-ceiling-because-obama-is-black

Yes, you got it. In what’s got to be a record time (.000000000000000317 seconds,) Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) reached for the … you guessed it … RACE card!

“ “Why is he [Mr Obama] different? And in my community, that is the question that we raise. In the minority community that is [the] question that is being raised. Why is this president being treated so disrespectfully?”

Let’s see: There’s his Communist, Socialist, and Marxist ‘czars’, the ‘stimulus’ that we were told would keep the unemployment rate no higher than 8 per cent (it’s currently at 9.2, but I digress,) there were the ‘shovel-ready’ projects that even he had to admit weren’t quite as ‘shovel-ready’ as he’d hoped, Van Jones, his ‘green jobs czar’ was a self-confessed COMMUNIST who co-founded a group built upon Marxist ideas, the bailout of GM, the bailout of Fannie, the bailout of Freddie, the TARP [Troubled Asset Relief Program [the bailout of the banks] ] his friendship with Bill Ayers the unrepentant TERRORIST whose group bombed government buildings, his past association with ACORN which during the 2008 election was under investigation for voter registration FRAUD in 14 states, need I go on?

John Holdren, the science czar is in favour of forced abortions and mass sterilization. In fact, he co-wrote a book named “Eco-Science: Population, Resources, Environment” (*)

The Apollo Alliance, who according to Harry Reid [D-Nevada] helped write the stimulus bill. One of their leaders, Jeff Jones, was another founder of the Weather Underground – the same terrorist group as Bill Ayers.

Then there’s Cass Sunstein, the regulatory czar, who proposed bans on hunting and eating meat. Not to outdo himself, but he also suggested that your dog be allowed to have an attorney in court. And then there’s his “Fairness Doctrine” for the Internet. Yes, if you criticize the President, or government then you need to be investigated. His words, folks.

Carol Browner, the global warming czar, was a member of Socialists International. They are a group in favour of global government. (**)

So, Mr Obama’s had pretty close run-ins with a COMMUNIST and TWO TERRORISTS. But I’m RAAAAAAAAAAACIST for pointing this out.

“Jackson Lee concluded by saying that she hoped someone would step up and say that what appears obvious to her is not in fact true. “

Ms Jackson Lee, I’ve been saying this since before the election. But since you and others like you have deluded yourselves into making me a “racist” then I must not count, right?

But let me ask this: How many Marxists, Communists, Socialists do you have around you?

How many times do we need to find a Marxist, Communist, Socialist, TERRORIST around the President before we get madder than hell and Impeach him?

But remember, I’m the one with the problems.

The Democrat's Playbook

NOTE: This is my second posting of this. The first time, Blogspit (yes, I meant to type that) ate it, saying there was an ‘editing conflict.’ Oddly enough, the last time it happened, my last posting, was also highly critical of the Campaigner-in-Thief. But this is Google that owns Blogspit, so it isn’t too surprising.

The Democrat’s playbook has a number of oft-used cards in it. Two of the key ones are, of course, the race card and the gender card. If we attend Tea Party protests, or even agree with them, the Democrat’s only answer is that we’re RAAAACISTS!!! To them, there’s no other possible answer.

Remember Janeane Garofalo on MSNBC speaking about the Tea Party Movement? She herself said it. “Let's be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea Party was about. They don't know their history at all. It's about hating a black man in the White House. That is racism straight up. This is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks.[21] “ (Links are Wikipedia’s and are left intact.)

So, according to her, I don’t know my history, and the reason I dislike Mr Obama is because he’s black. Well, it’s so very nice to know that Ms Garofalo knows what’s in my mind and my heart. She can conceive of no other possible answer. It’s not because I dislike Mr Obama’s policies, again according to her. It’s not because he’s surrounded himself with socialists and Marxists (a la Van Jones, a self-confessed Communist) it simply must be, again according to her, because he’s black.

There is a word for that. But first, the definition from dictionary.com: “a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact: a paranoid delusion”

Yes, the word is delusional. Note that I’m not calling her a name, I’m describing her reasoning. Yes, the first part certainly fits, doesn’t it? The race card has been debunked how many times now? Yet they still reach for it. Believe it or not, but they’re part of the problem too.

Expect more of that this election. If we don’t vote for Mr Obama (again) it’s simply (again) because we’re RAAAAACIST!!!

But you know it won’t end there. If Ms Bachmann were a Democrat and we didn’t vote for her, it’s simply because we’re sexist. Again, this is according to the liberals. I was told that the reason I didn’t like Ms Clinton was because she’s a woman. Actually, I don’t like her policies, and then there’s her baggage (er…husband) Bill. I’d have no problem with a woman being the President, as long as I agreed with her positions. For the record, I would’ve voted for Dr Condoleezza Rice, had she been running. And since she’s also African-American, that takes both your favourite cards off the table. Time to put those tired old cards away.

Seriously, don’t you hate being told you’re something that you’re not? I hate being called a racist, it’s been disproven repeatedly, yet they can conceive of no other answer. Oh, and it’s because my heart’s filled with hate. ::sigh::

Another of the Democrat’s favourite cards is to demagogue. Mr Obama reached for that card today during his press conference. Yes, according to him, it’s going to be “Armageddon” unless we raise the debt ceiling. Didn’t he himself say that Social Security cheques might not go out? That’s been disproven, too. Yet he still reached for the demagogue card. According to a new poll, only 34 per cent of Americans want higher taxes. But in Mr Obama’s own little world, 80 per cent do. ::sigh:: He can conceive of no other option, other than to raise taxes. The solution, however, is simple. Cut spending and live within your means. It’s not rocket science. It really isn’t.

So we’ve got
The Race Card
The Gender (sexist) Card
The Demagogue Card

Now it’s time to add another. I’m calling this one the “Name-Calling” or “Idiot” card. Yes, according to the liberals, I’m simply not smart enough to comprehend what Mr Obama’s trying to do. Didn’t he himself say that he should’ve done a better job explaining the stimulus? In other words “I need to use smaller and simpler words because the people are too damn dumb to know what I’m trying to do. It’s their fault!”

Aren’t you tired of seeing that card as well? “Well, you’re too dumb.” Oh, and then they belittle you. Disparage also works. Just to be certain that the meaning hadn’t changed overnight, I went to dictionary.com. Still means the same.

VIDEO: "Obama Would Rather Be Talking About NFL Lockout Over Debt Crisis"

The link: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/07/11/obama_would_rather_be_talking_about_nfl_lockout_over_debt_crisis.html

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Say it ain't so, O!

" "We are not out here trying to use this as a means of doing all these really tough political things. I would rather be talking about stuff that everybody welcomes like new programs or the NFL season getting resolved. " (emphasis and colour added)

Now how about it, Obamabots? (*)

(*) - http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=obamabot

Article: "...OBAMA DEPRESSION"

The link: http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2011/07/11/analyst-even-dollar-stores-struggling-in-obama-depression/

" LOS ANGELES (CBS) — More stores across the U.S. that offer deeply-discounted products are seeing their sales decline after years of growth amid America’s “Great Recession” — and one analyst said on Monday it’s another sign of even deeper downturn. "

The article states (further down) that rising food and transportation (fuel) costs are causing prices at the stores to rise. Think of it this way: The food you buy didn't get to the store by itself, did it? Of course not; It was brought there in a truck. And that truck used fuel to bring it from the farm (or factory). And that farm (or factory) used fuel also.

So; they're right. But they're part of the same problem. It's part of a cause and effect cycle - a chain of events.

CAUSE: The price of oil is higher.
EFFECT: The price of petrol (gasoline) is higher.
EFFECT: The farm (or factory) must spend more for fuel.
EFFECT: Prices at the store rise as they pass off the higher costs to consumers.

I don't think even Obama's chief water-carrier Keith Olbermann could dispute this chain of events. Although he and Janeane Garofalo would quickly say it's "RAAAAAAAAAAACIST" to point it out.

Seriously, you two. I've bebunked that race card how many times now? Yet you continue to reach for it. Believe it or not, but you have become part of the problem.

You can't dispute the facts so you call names, belittle people, or call them racists. You are therefore part of the problem. And so am I.

Be very careful here: for if you immediately dismiss it without considering it, you're saying that you are perfect.

And nobody is perfect.

Believe it or not, but your 'chosen one' is also part of the problem. Yes, he did inherit a bad situation from Mr Bush, but come on now. How far into Mr Obama's presidency are we? And things haven't gotten better, they've gotten worse.

Is it just barely possible that he also bears blame? Be very careful here.

" “In other words, the economy is continuing to be worse, the Obama depression continues to explode,” he [top retail analyst Howard Davidowitz] added. (emphasis, colour, and italics added)

Quick: Department of Hussein's Sycophants (DHS) investigate the paper and writer! They've obviously racists for saying it. Mr Olbermann and Ms Garofalo have said so.

MSNBC and "Lean Forward"

First, a few links:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSNBC

and

http://www.msnbc.com

" Following several years in which many observers noted a politically progressive shift in the channel's programming, MSNBC publicly acknowledged its progressivism in October 2010 while launching a marketing campaign with the tagline "Lean Forward." [9][10][11][12][13][14][15] In a June 2011 interview, MSNBC president Phil Griffin stated that "MSNBC has established a sensibility, a position, a platform" and that "MSNBC is really the place to go for progressives."[16] " (Links are Wikipedia's and are left intact.)

Here, we learn that MSNBC had publicly acknowledged its "...progressivism..." which Wikipedia defines as "...a political attitude favoring or advocating changes or reform through governmental action."

I'll be the first to admit that some government control is a good thing. For example, I wouldn't want various states in the United States to have nuclear weapons. Alaska and Texas, for example, really don't like each other. Therefore, could you imagine what might have happened if, when the Wichita Falls Wildcats and the University of Anchorage SeaWolves played in Anchorage, a Rustlers fan just happened to have a small nuke with him?

Let's further assume that this match took place in January (For the record, I do know that these two teams played in Anchorage, but not when.)

It can get really cold in Anchorage in January. And it really doesn't get all that cold in Wichita Falls. Therefore, a Texan brings a nuke with him not to do damage, but rather, to get warm.

For a reason like that (I know, a stupid one) having a central government is a good idea.

But not everything can be solved by a centralized government. Some problems are best handled at the local or state level.

But then we come to MSNBC which now embraces its progressivism ... which could also be called liberalism. Question: Haven't they in fact turned themselves from a news organization into a cheerleader? Another question: Don't they themselves say that Fox News isn't a news organization but a wing of the Republican Party? Therefore, by their own reasoning: haven't they become a wing of the Democratic Party, and specifically the Obama Administration?

Remember when MSNBC, in the midst of showing tsunami damage in Japan, thought that was a good time to remind its viewers that Obama was born in Hawaii? Question: What the hell does the tsunami in Japan have to do with where Obama was born??

MSNBC is the place to go for progressives. Phil Griffin said that. So much for being a valid news organization.

Article about "Stimulus"

The link: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-s-economists-stimulus-has-cost-278000-job_576014.html

" When the Obama administration releases a report on the Friday before a long weekend, it’s clearly not trying to draw attention to the report’s contents. Sure enough, the “Seventh Quarterly Report” on the economic impact of the “stimulus,” released on Friday, July 1, provides further evidence that President Obama’s economic “stimulus” did very little, if anything, to stimulate the economy, and a whole lot to stimulate the debt. " (Links are theirs and are left intact.)

That's actually quite telling. So the "stimulus" didn't really stimulate the economy. It did stimulate the debt, however.

I'm about to be called a racist again for pointing that out. And I'm really really tired of it.

I honest to God don't understand why people have to keep calling me a racist when it's absolutely not true. My problem with Barack Obama isn't because he's African-American, my problem with him is his policies. My other problem with Mr Obama is the people he associates with.

Case in point: Van Jones.

Case in point: Bill Ayers.

Case in point: Ms Kagan.

Case in point: You get the idea.

Article: "Elderly woman asked to remove adult diaper during TSA search."

The link: http://www.newsherald.com/news/mother-94767-search-adult.html

Here, we learn that a 95 year old female was given the extensive full-body search. We learn that she had to remove her soiled undergarment because it was impeding the search. We also learn that she was in a wheelchair because she was not "...stable enough to walk through."

Those are the facts. But come on, TSA.

" “TSA cannot exempt any group from screening because we know from intelligence that there are terrorists out there that would then exploit that vulnerability,” she [Miami TSA spokeswoman Sari Koshetz] said. "

And, Ms Koshetz is right. There are those terrorists that would use this as well as other means, such as a false pregancy.

But then let's contrast this with this: http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/30028

" " However, Muslim women will not have to face such worries. CNSNews.com has reported that Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) — which is frequently tied to domestic terror plotshas been guaranteed that TSA officials will only pat down Muslim women in the head and neck area. " (emphasis and colour added)

You're absolutely right, Ms Koshetz.

This link: http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/06/26/florida.tsa.incident/index.html?hpt=hp_c1 is about the 95 year old woman who was forced to endure the procedure. Yes, you're absolutely right Ms Koshetz. She looks like a terrorist to me. (sarcasm mode now OFF)

Michelle Obama: "Fortunately, we have help from the media."

The link: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/06/24/michelle_obama_fortunately_we_have_help_from_the_media.html

Yes, this truly qualifies as a "duh" moment.

The CNN reporter asks Ms Obama if the family is ready and how they're going to handle the election. The reporter also asks if it's going to be vicious.

" First Lady Michelle Obama: "You know, it's … we're ready, you know. Our children, you know, could care less about what we're doing. We work hard to do that. Fortunately, we have help from the media. I have to say this: I'm very grateful for the support and kindness that we've gotten. " (emphasis added)

Again, this shouldn't be a "duh" moment. Here's that link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mm1KOBMg1Y8 His voters didn't know which party controlled Congress when they were asked. For reference, the Democrats did.

Many of his voters didn't know who Barney Frank is. Or who Harry Reid is. Some of them didn't even know whow Ms Pelosi is. For the record; they're all Democrats.

And then there's TelePrompTer boy and his 57 states that campaigned in. Oh, and he had ONE left to go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpGH02DtIws

If you visit the first link about how Mr Obama got elected, there you go.

But let's say that Mr McCain had said he'd campaigned in 57 states. The liberal media would still be talking about that to this day. But Barack's a Democrat, so what the hell, right?

And then there's this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBrHkxqNT7s

In this clip Obama supporters were asked if they believed Mr Obama was a keynesian. Many of them didn't know. One woman got nearly hostile.

For reference, keynesian refers to the economic theory of John Maynard Keynes.

But what the hell, right?

"On the Road Again..."

Time to hit the road solo.

I'll have my laptop, my .MP3 player, my LEGALLY downloaded Coast to Coast AM (12GIG), my LEGALLY downloaded Dragnet and Gunsmoke, and my DVDs. Well, only some of them. I'll be ready.

Am I nervous? Yes, and no.

I can drive, that's no problem. Both my mentor and my instructor have said that. I'm nervous about being on my own. Even though I'll have my .MP3 player, it's not quite the same as having an actual live person to speak with.

If you believe in prayer, I could use it. :)

Milk-toast vs Milquetoast

I honestly didn't know the difference.

But I'm listening to Dragnet, "The Big Crazy" and one of the witnesses referred to somebody who was suspected of murder as a milquetoast.

I had thought it was milk-toast, but it's not. 'Milk-toast (*1)' is a breafast food. 'Milquetoast (*2)' is a weak, ineffectual, or bland person.

I had to look it up. :)

They are spelled differently, yet pronounced exactly the same.

The TSA is coming for you ... in your CAR?!?!

The link: http://motherjones.com/mojo/2011/06/tsa-swarms-8000-bus-stations-public-transit-systems-yearly

" VIPR operations are now even targeting freight trucks on highways. In addition to the random checks on public transit systems, it makes you wonder: can private vehicles be far behind? Will there be any mode of transportation beyond the reach of the TSA? (VIPR stands for Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response. Links are theirs and are left intact.)

" UPDATE: According to at least one news report out of Brownsville, Texas, TSA/VIPR has already conducted unannounced inspections of private passenger cars and trucks. Thanks for the tip, reader @jwindz. (Link is theirs and is left intact.) That link goes here: http://www.krgv.com/news/local/story/Authorities-Conduct-Random-Inspections-at-Port-of/7beCpszvaEmkasNenRgu3w.cspx

I've already said that I'm a truck driver now, and I've (with my mentor) driven through Laredo, Texas.

I've also said that I don't want some TSA jackboot touching my family jewels. That hasn't ... and won't change.

Does the TSA do good work? The law of averages says that at least some of them are competent and are doing good work.

But let me ask you this: Alex Jones (yes, that one) has been saying that this would be coming. So have others. My question - can they all be 'conspiracy theorists?' Or is it just barely possible that they might be right? Be very very careful with your answer.

Remember when the TSA was 'screening' those passengers who had just gotten off a train? That link is here: http://news.travel.aol.com/2011/02/28/why-did-tsa-pat-down-kids-adults-getting-off-train/

But wouldn't it have made much more sense to search them before they boarded? Now, I know I'm dense and stupid (because Barack Obama (MMM! MMM! MMM!) has said so) but it seems to me they got it backwards here.

MMM! MMM! MMM! ???? Honestly, an indoctrination song here in the US? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3TKMKbifgQ

BUt ... BUT ... that was a 'one-off!' Really?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdPSqL9_mfM&feature=related

But it can't be!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onXd8iH3OVQ&feature=related

This one is more disturbing, at least to me. Combat BDU pants? The same T-shirt? (Well, I'll give you that one) Combat boots?!? Oh, and they're praising ObamaCare. Still not indoctrination?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM45kYAKyCU&feature=related

But you're right ... there's no indoctrination here.

Let me ask this exit question: Given what we've discussed ... the TSA groping and the indoctrination songs: Is that was a free democracy does, or is this something a dictator would do?

Just asking.
